Women's History Month

International Women's Day, is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. It doesn't stop there.

March has now become Women's History Month, "commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history". If you are a history buff or just want to learn more about women in American history, the Library of Congress and National Archives have put together a website for Women's History Month with a ton of research and resources.

PMS Clan History

Champion: a person who fights or argues for a cause or on behalf of someone else.

Ladies, we are champions. Not just because we kick ass in games and win tournaments, but because we also champion for ourselves and others in our personal lives, our careers, and our gaming experiences. We push forward positive changes for those around us. The PMS Clan has been championing, empowering, and elevating women in gaming since 2002. We will continue for years to come by creating a safe environment and promoting unity through community.

By giving female gamers a home we unify the population, give them the opportunity to cut through false perceptions of ability, and see them become role models to others.

This month we want to create a fun experience while celebrating Women's History Month and the community by building off the PMS Ladies Night program. We are thankful for our community and would not be here without your continued support. That being said, we have many events planned this month and we hope that you all join us.

PMS Charity: The Loveland Foundation

This year we are supporting the Loveland Foundation. The Loveland Foundation works to provide financial assistance to Black women and girls seeking therapy across the country. We are continuing to raise money for the Loveland Foundation this year. You can make your donations at bit.ly/PMSLoveland.

According to a 2015 study, Black women have high rates of all forms of anxiety disorders, largely due to socioeconomic factors — such as racism and sexism — and violence.¹

About the Loveland Foundation

"The Loveland Foundation was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle in response to her widely successful birthday wish fundraiser, Therapy for Black Women and Girls. Her enthusiastic social media community raised over $250,000, which made it possible for Black women and girls nationally to receive therapy support. Black women and girls deserve access to healing, and that healing will impact generations.

The Loveland Foundation is the official continuation of this effort to bring opportunity and healing to communities of color, and especially to Black women and girls. Through fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, ultimately we hope to contribute to both the empowerment and the liberation of the communities we serve."

PMS Competitive Teams

We are looking for FEMALE Apex Legends players who are interested in a competitive team & would be interested in being featured on Twitch March 20th! Join our discord & fill out a brief survey for more info.

Through various cultural and social influences, there exists a bias that men are better than women in gaming.

Our competitive team search does not stop at Apex. If you are interested in starting teams on another game, please contact us at levelup@pmsclan.com with your name, contact info and details about the game and team.

Happy International Women's Day & Happy Gaming! We look forward to celebrating with you all this month.
