Respect and Expectations

Being respectful to one another and those we come into contact with is a cornerstone of our beliefs as a community.  It’s up to us to set the example for others and is imperative for our clan’s reputation. Telling an opposing team or player a good game, thanking community members for coming to play, not cheating against others—these are standards for the type of players we want in our clan.

  1. Usage of offensive terms - We take disparaging, derogatory or abusive terms seriously in the clan. If you’re using a word that has any negative connotation of to a group of people it doesn’t matter what you meant or didn’t mean—it’s what it means to someone else.  Situations where someone is reported for saying something offensive will immediately be investigated. You can expect warnings, suspensions or immediate terminations from the clan based on that investigation and member history.

  2. Cheating/Game Exploitation - The Clan expects that all members will refrain from practicing or sharing in the use of hacks, level boosting, connection manipulation, cheating, glitching, unsportsmanlike conduct, or any similar act is conduct unbecoming of our members.

If you have problems with any of the above please let the person know or report it up to your leaders. Actions taken depends on the severity of the offense and may include counseling, reprimands, suspensions or termination.

Harassment Policy

The PMS Clan does not tolerate any form of harassment and will take immediate action on reported abuse.  Harassment includes bullying, intimidation, direct insults, malicious gossip, and victimization. We can’t create an exhaustive list, but here are some instances that we consider harassment

SPECIAL NOTES:

Unsolicited conduct - Unsolicited conduct is the most frequent form of harassment we encounter and perpetrators don’t always understand they could be engaged in harassment. Our members are friendly by nature, but it’s important you are cognitive if someone might be uncomfortable with what you are saying or the frequency of contact if they are not engaging. Many times people find it difficult, feel guilty or feel bad saying to stop contacting them so it’s important you understand if their messages back are nonexistent, infrequent or short by nature they are likely not interested in engaging in private conversations. A good test is to just stop until they engage with you. For those receiving unsolicited attention, let the other person know if you are comfortable with it or please report to your direct leader who can help assist.

Minors: PMS Clan Inc. has an absolute "No Tolerance Policy" concerning sexual conversation, advances, or any form of sexual references between an adult and a minor or when a minor is present. Failure to adhere to this policy will be taken very seriously and will result in immediate removal from the clan and potential notification to parents or authorities.

How to address harassment

If you’re being harassed, you can choose to talk to any of these people:

Offenders. If you suspect that an offender doesn’t realize they are guilty of harassment, you could talk to them directly in an effort to resolve the issue. This tactic is appropriate for cases of minor harassment (e.g. inappropriate jokes, slips of the tongue, unsolicited contact that isn’t sexual in nature, etc..)

Your leader - If customers, stakeholders or team members are involved in your claim, you may reach out to your current leader. They will assess your situation and may escalate if appropriate.

Clan leaders -  In the event you feel your division's leaders can’t assist appropriately or are involved, feel free to reach out to the clan leaders. Anything you disclose will remain confidential as we can allow while addressing the overall behavior. (i.e. no name usage, broad examples, etc.

Harassment Incident Report

We encourage anyone that feels they are being harassed to file an incident report. This is so we can create documentation and monitor for ongoing offenses. If it's happening to you it's likely happening to someone else!
