Public Orientation(s)

I read somewhere in the forums that there are no more public orientations. I wonder if anyone (at that level) was willing to help me with the orientation bit.

I have not been able to find a division as yet, and currently with the time difference (because I'm from Singapore), its hard to make it for NA or EU practice times for the divisions.

I mostly play PC games, but hope to get into consoles in the near future.

For anyone's kind advice pls

Orientations aren't required to start recruiting for a division, though most (if not all) divisions will have a mandatory pre-recruitment meeting to familiarize you with basic rules and expectations before you begin. It's only once you're actively recruiting into a division that orientation becomes a requirement, and at that time (because there are no more public orientations), your recruitment managers should schedule a private orientation with you.

As for finding a division, the only one I can think of would be PMS|H2O Oceania COD PS3; I believe they're no more than 2-3 hours ahead of your time in Singapore. I believe there's also been talk of an Oceania Xbox division in the works. Apart from that, you could try checking here to see if a division that more closely fits your needs has been suggested.

Hi Ruby, thanks for the advice. I do know the orientation is not needed until I've decided on a division, but since I have a problem with finding one (more of can't find one.. ), I thought of going through orientation first

Unfortunately my PS3 needs to be in storage (got some personal probs that prevent me from actually playing the PS3) for the next few months

As with XBox, well I have to get one

I have looked into the other possible divisions, unfortunately, not much luck.

Looks like I'm going to be lurking in the forums for much longer

Hey RecX, PC will more than likely be hosting a "public" orientation sometime next month. If you need a ventrilo account talk to myself and I can set you up with one.

What kinda of games do you mainly play? (FPS, RTS?)

Thanks! I will most probably join u on that. Thanks for the heads up! I followed the instructions in one of the threads to set up Vent, and I got that working. Not sure if I need certain permissions on Vent though.

Games games games.. hmm.. On console thus far (namely PS3), been playing a few games from the FF series, alot of beatem' up games like Dynasty warriors and a few action RPGs. For the main part of like 8 years now I have been a PC gamer, playing MMOs (the dreaded Maplestory, Granado Espada and soon to be GW2) and games like Diablo3. Its been a while, but I used to be a CS player - abeit casual.. but my aim is abit off now...

I have played DOTA, DOTA2 and LoL, but tbbh, I really suck at those...

I have never been serious enough to try out for ladder spots or have a serious practice session. Been playing with bots most of the time.., and have been "serious casual" for a while.

I look forward to meeting you! More than likely I will be the one running the public orientation this month so I would like to get to you know you.

Once you post an application to a division, the leaders responsible for that division will get you set up with a ventrilo account and get you playing with the whole clan. I still play Maplestory; there's something about that game that I can't get away from.

A bit of trivia about this clan, we are community, a bit like a large family. The goal is to have other fun and positive people to play games with. If you enjoy Dota 2 and LoL but aren't very good with it, then play with our members! They will help you out and help you improve and above all make sure that you have people to have fun with. If at anytime this isn't the case, just let a leader know. It's our job to make sure you're having a great time.

I really hope that you recruit into our clan and that you find this to be the community for you. Again, I look forward to meeting you!

My manager is having one Saturday at 5pm PST, you need an orientation to become a full member but not to be a recruit. Have you decided what division you're going to recruit in yet?

Hi hi.. hmm so far i've got my eye on the possible D3 or GW2 divisions / communities.. Once I complete my physical move to the new house, probably an xbox division.. possibly Halo or Ghost
