Default PC Won't let me delete a folder

I am cleaning off my hard drive and I moved a folder onto a external hard drive now it wont let me delete, rename or put anything into the empty folder.

When I try and open the folder it says this
Click the image to open in full size.

then when I try to delete it I get
Click the image to open in full size.
and
Click the image to open in full size.

I am the computers admin. How do I get rid of this?

It's usually a program trying to access this folder, renaming/deleting will stop this program from doing what it wants to, so it's stopping you before that happens.

I suggest the most original computer tip, restart.

could it be that its trying to access it through its original desktop locations since thats in the file name?

Or perhaps that your external drive doesnt recognize you as an administrator?

Other than those 2 I dont really have any other ideas, sorry

You have to go into the folder's Properties > Security > Highlight your account name > Edit > At least have Modify ticked or just tick Full Control > Click OK and try again. If you can't seem figure this method out, you can always download a program that will do all of this automatically in seconds called Take Ownership. Just right click the folder then click on Take Ownership. You can download this program by clicking here.
