Early Prep For Extra Life 2012

Greetings Gamers!

We are encouraging all gamers from all platforms to unite and participate in the Extra Life charity event on Oct. 20, 2012. This year we will be gathering in solidarity under one umbrella team by the name of "PMS Pandora's Hope". This year our goal is to have 100% fundraising participation.

We have a lot of cool plans for the event this year and with the actual marathon day months away; we will also have much more information to share with you down the line.

In the meantime, you should go register. During that process choose the “Join a team” option to be a hero with your fellow PMS ladies and H2O men for those in need.

Note the following:
If you took part in Extra Life last year, you may have filled out their survey after the event was finished. If that's the case, you should have received an email with a registration code in it for this year. The code will grant you a premium registration - basically free reg, and a t-shirt if you raise a minimum of $200.00.
This code expires April 6th, so register now!!

Extra Life is open to EVERY country on planet Earth. Martians are accepted on a case-by-case basis. The money you raise is directed to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital you select during registration.

I bet you are all wondering... How can I help? How do I raise donations?
It’s easy! Most of you if not all of you have at least a Facebook or a Twitter or BOTH! Share your fundraising page! Tweet the link to your page! You can use any social site to promote the cause and ask for donations.

ALSO Go to family and friends. Let them know what you are doing and why! Yeah, you are going to play video games for 24 hours. You are doing it for a good cause!

You can also send emails from the Extra Life page. Once you log in, go to Send donor invitations and Updates. Here, you can manually enter email addresses or, import addresses from almost any web mail account. Also, once you have sent emails out, it saves the email addresses for the next time you want to send out updates. My contacts from last year, and the year before that are still there!

If you have any questions or need help, please do not hesitate to ask Danger or I! We are here to help you heal sick kids!

I'm trying to register but my internet isn't working right and my phone wont let me do it either so I'm going over to my sister's in the morning to finish registering. I'm looking forward to getting started, and I plan to do a lot of things leading up to the event, like a bake sale and stuff.

This meeting is open to ALL those who are interested in any way about EXTRA LIFE whether you are signed up or not- guests are welcome so bring a friend!
