Basic Rules:
We are advocates of professionalism and sportsmanship of the highest caliber. When you begin your time as an H2O Recruit, you should be doing your best to represent yourself positively in the overall gaming community. We as H2Os do not only represent ourselves, but an entire community every time we turn on the Xbox and get on Live, thus we are very strict when it comes to following the rules. A summary of our behavior expectations can be found here: Basic Rules
  1. First and foremost: we are here to support female gamers in general, with the PMS girls being our main focus. They are our sister clan and need to be treated with Love and Respect. Without them the H2O clan would not exist today. We are to conduct ourselves this way in and out of games and on the forums at all times.
  2. No cheating of any kind whatsoever.
  3. Respect everyone.
  4. No trash talking.
  5. If you simply don’t want someone in your party please ask them 3 times. If they do not leave you have permission to boot them.
  6. NEVER, and we mean NEVER, use the word R 4 P E or anything that insinuates the same thing. We will not condone anything that is demeaning to women. If you disobey this rule, you will be removed from recruitment. This is your only warning. Learn to live by it.
  7. We do not tolerate any racial slurs, racist comments, You will be removed immediately.
  8. Do not make an H2O tag until you complete recruitment.
  9. T-BAGGING IS NOT ALLOWED IN ANY FORM OR FASHION!
  10. Communication: Essential. Please make sure you're calling out in practice and (when out of practice) please talk to your current members. Communicate with us. If you have any questions or problems, talk to us.
It is an meant to be an HONOR to be chosen as a member of this clan. We expect that you treat your time here as such. Any breaking of the rules will not go unseen and will be handled with all due seriousness.

With that being said we have one final rule for you...HAVE FUN! We realize we may have a lot of rules we ask you to follow, but these have been created to make being a part of this clan a safe and fun environment for all. Our objective is to be different than the typical negative individuals one encounters on Xbox Live, so we expect our members to embody everything positive that one wishes to see on Xbox Live.
We are advocates of professionalism and sportsmanship of the highest caliber. When you come to H2O as a recruit you should be doing your best to represent yourself positively, and we as H2O's are not only representing ourselves, but an entire community every time we turn on the Xbox and get on live. Thus we are very strict with the following rules, and besides breaking these rules would just make you a jerk, and no body wants to be a jerk right?

Recruitment and Procedure

Quote:
Welcome to your H2O recruitment! We hope you enjoy your time as a Recruit and we look forward to the day you become a full-fledged Member of our H2O Community! We have spent an incredible amount of time building out the requirements and expectations of becoming an H2O.

Even before you are considered a recruit it is good to know a couple of things in general. First and most importantly, we ask that you read over the Hand Book to better get acquainted with our rules and policies.

Thank you in advance for your involvement and for the dedication you are going to be showing us and the girls of the PMS Clan. We look forward to having you complete your recruitment, and become full fledged H2Os, worthy of the title.

Thanks and Welcome!
Your Division Leaders

  • Before you can officially begin recruitment, you must have your own personal forum account. You can register for one HERE.
  • Once you have your account, you must post an application. When posting, we ask that you use the format provided for you and answer the questions at the following link: Recruitment Application
  • Once you have posted your application, we do request that you show some patience and allow time for a Recruitment Manager to reply to your application. Upon replying, they will schedule with you a time when you will have a one-on-one interview in-game. This meeting is to benefit both sides: for you, it may help you decide if the H2O Clan is something you really want to be a part of, as well as for us to begin to see how we feel you will fit in within our ranks. We are a large family here and want to make sure your experience within H2O will be one that you will enjoy and come to love the way we have.
  • Recruitment periods begin on Sunday & Monday and there are no exceptions to this. If you are contacted the day following the start of a recruitment period, you will have to wait until the next start date to begin recruitment.
Per the discretion of the Recruitment Manager(s), you will be invited to participate in our scheduled practices.
  • We know that you may already have existing Clan Members or current Recruits on your friends list, and will be eager to get right into practice. We ask that wait and follow the pre-recruitment process that we have designed, to help us best be able to track who the Recruits are.
  • You will go through a recruitment process in which you must maintain 4 hours a week for 4 weeks. You will be required to make the hours you chose of scheduled practice time each week. These hours must be made solely in divisional practices as Small Team practices are for Division Members who have qualified for competitive standing.
If you do not make the required hours each week, then your recruitment will receive an EXT (Extended) in which you will continue for an additional week. If you get 3 EXT's during your recruitment it will be terminated.

Remember being in H2O is a privilege and we have all have had to go through what you are going through now in some form or fashion. We've proved that we're worthy of having the H2O tag and being a respectable gamer. Now you must prove it.

You can practice for as many hours as you would like during the week but only the max possible hours for each week will go towards your recruitment obligation.
  • You are required to attend Orientation. There is a public Orientation held on Ventrillo on a PC (use this thread to set up Ventrilo) on every second Sunday of the month. Orientation runs approximately 2 hours (Maybe shorter), and consists of a reading of key points from the official PMS|H2O Handbook.
Orientation can be completed at any time during your recruitment.
There is also an orientation quiz to be completed afterward.
For any Recruit whose work or life schedule does not permit attendance to public Orientation, a private Orientation will be scheduled, to be held on Xbox Live at the discretion of the division leader.
  • Only after completing all the above requirements and receiving official acknowledgment from a Division Leader or Recruitment Manager(s) will you be eligible for Clan Membership, and will be permitted to change your gamertag. Please see "Changing Your Gamertag" below for more information.

Adding the H2OHaloRecruit
Gamer Tag :Recruits, please accept this tag's friend request when the Recruitment Manager(s) sends it to you. This is what practice captains look at when they send out invitations to their practice.

HALO Division Practice Information

There will be a short meeting (pre-recruitment) during your first day as an H2O recruit. This meeting is done with all new Recruits to go over the rules and regulations of the clan, as well as what is expected of you as a Recruit. This meeting will be held at a time set by the Division's Recruitment Managers and will be followed by a scheduled practice.
Attendance at this meeting is mandatory, and recruitment cannot begin until you have attended. If your work schedule does not allow you to make it, then you must inform the Recruitment Manager that approved your invitation to recruit with us, so that they can make alternate arrangement for you to receive the information.
During this meeting the Recruitment Manager will go over important information and rules and answer any questions you might have.
You will then be asked to send a friend request to the following H2OHaloRecruit Gamer Tag. We use the "Friends of Friends" feature to track of recruits and to send practice invites, without having to have the Recruitment Managers and Practice Captains fill up their friends list completely.

In Practice Rules:
  • Recruitment Managers and Practice Captains will normally start up a practice room approximately 5-10 minutes before the official practice start time. At that time they will begin to send out game invites.
  • If you join the room at the beginning of practice, you are expected to complete at least 1 hour of practice. Practices are recorded by the hour. If you choose to leave before the first hour is up, the practice will not count towards your required hours. Everyone has the same hourly requirement and it is not fair to everyone else that is willing to commit to getting their time in.
  • Everyone is to be respectful to the Practice Captain and each other. We will not tolerate any disrespectful speech of any kind. We are all a big family here and all enjoy gaming, you are encouraged to remember that when practicing.
  • During practice, the Practice Captain is in charge. We ask that when the Captain is talking, to give them the respect and be quiet and allow them to speak. We all like to talk and communication is encouraged but the host has important information to share with everyone.
  • It is the Practice Captain's responsibility as to how he chooses to set up the games played in Practice (gametype, gamemap, etc). There is to be no arguing about his choices. Practice Captains have volunteered for this responsibility, and anyone who is unwilling to follow the rules during practices will be asked to leave. If the offense is serious enough they will receive a warning from the Practice Captain and be removed from the room. The Practice Manager will then be notified, and if the actions continue in future practices, the Division Leaders will be notified and a decision will be made about your recruitment status. We are all here to have fun but we also need organization, anyone being unruly will be dealt with accordingly.
  • If you have a problem with someone in practice, we ask that you inform only the Practice Captain. Do not take it upon yourself to get into a screaming match with someone else. Nothing is solved that way. Everyone must understand that with so many members - all with different personalities - at times they will clash, but try to be mature about how you handle it.
  • At no time is muting the Practice Captain or a Manager acceptable. If you have an issue with a Practice Captain, then leave the practice and talk to the Practice Manager if you cannot work out your differences.
  • Anyone wanting to send a message to the practice host, please do so in TEXT form. There is nothing worse than being in a practice and having to stop to listen to a voice message.
  • Finally, we ask everyone to remember that we do have younger members within our divisions. Please try and think before things come out of your mouth. Of course we want you to be able to communicate and joke around but sometimes tact is needed as we all know that we have an opportunity to influence those younger than ourselves.
It is everyone's responsibility to learn all the H2O rules listed in this thread.
Also, casual members/PMS members are allowed to in practice only to even out teams. They will still be expected to follow all practice rules and are subject to be asked to leave if they do not, or if an active member or a recruit asks to join.

note: If you know you will be unable to make your required hours of practice for a certain week or you have an issue with making it into a practice please send the Practice Manager a message via XBL, IM, or a PM on the forums.

How Practice is Ran:
  • Invites will be sent out 5 minutes before practice starts to those that have signed up.
  • The room will be on invite only and placed at a 16 max party so as to get as many people in as possible. If there is more than 8 then the room may be split and another party will be made(Only if there is another practice captain or manager present).
(When in another party if there is not another practice captain present then message the original captain and let him know who left, who joined, and when you are ending his party so he knows how much time to give the people that attended.)
  • If you receive an invite and you do not want to go then please send the practice captain a message(a text based message containing "x") so he knows you are not coming. This way the lobby full of people will not be waiting on someone that is not coming.
  • Remember that the practice captain is always in charge in this situation. Please show him some respect.
    Practice goes as follows:
  • 5-10 Minutes prior, practice lobby is opened and invites sent out
  • 15 Minute FFA, (to help determine team captains)
  • 1 Hour of games(dependent on practice type)
  • 5-10 Minute break
  • 1 Hour of games(dependent on practice type)
  • When in the game don't get too hyper. What is meant by that is, if your team is down, don't get an attitude and start whining. We all have different skills and whether you like it or not we are all here to have fun. So when you're in practice please, don't get all bent out of shape. Just have fun.
  • NO TAUNTING WHATSOEVER! When you kill someone that should be the end of it. Do not continue to shoot his body while he is down on the ground. That just shows bad sportsmanship. Also know that usage of the "R" word (R4p3) will get you dismissed from the clan.
  • Always say good game at the end of a match. This shows that we can win or lose with dignity. If you can't even say good game after a win or lose then it's best you not say anything.
  • Know that as a recruit you need to maintain 4 hrs of practice a week. YOU CANNOT JOIN A PRACTICE UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD YOUR RECRUITMENT MEETING.
  • Remember that even when you're not in practice. When you're with your friends on xbl or when you're in matchmaking, you do not just represent yourself or the division. You represent the clan as a whole.
Now with all this knowledge that you have gained... please, go out there, get some kills and have fun.

Leaving for a period of time?

LOA rules straight from the books.

PMS|H2O Clan recognizes that from time to time, it may be necessary for a member to take a break from Divisional requirements or online play in general. PMS|H2O Clan is aware that emergencies, illnesses, or personal business that cannot be scheduled outside of match/practice hours may arise. It is the responsibility of all Division Members to contact the Practice Manager(s)|Division Leader(s) (Recruits must contact Recruitment Manager(s)|Division Leader(s)) if they will be absent for any period of time, as well as to post in the appropriate thread for Leave of Absences.

* Absences of 1 week, or less: Member is required to notify Practice Manager(s)|Division Leader(s) ahead of LOA, and post in the appropriate thread for short term absences:
* Absences of up to 3 weeks or less: Member is required to notify Practice Manager(s)|Division Leader(s) ahead of LOA, and post in the appropriate thread for long term absences:
* Absences of more than 3 weeks: Member is required to notify Practice Manager(s)|Division Leader(s) ahead of LOA, and will be moved to General Member status. Upon timely return*, Member must notify Division Leader(s), and can be granted Division Member status without further requirements.
o Members absent for significant periods of time may be required to complete a Division Transfer prior to being approved for Division Member status. See DIVISION TRANSFER.

If a recruit fails to attend the required Division Practices:

* After the first week of missed practice: receive an EXT and a reminder/warning via PM to attend practices from the Recruitment Manager(s) and/or Division Leader(s)
* After the second week of missed practice: receive an EXT and a second warning via PM or verbal from Recruitment Manager(s) and/or Division Leader(s)
* After the third week of missed practice: their recruitment will be terminated with a notice sent via PM from the Recruitment Manager(s) and/or Division Leader(s)

If a Division Member fails to attend the required Division Practices, they will:

* After the first week of missed Practice: receive a verbal warning from the Practice Manager(s)|Division Leader(s).
* After the second week of missed Practice: Member will notified via forum PM and in game as appropriate, that any further inactivity will result in removal from Division.
* After the third week of Practice: Practice Manager(s) will notify the Division Leader(s), and the Division Leader(s) will request the Member be moved to "PMS Member|"H2O Member" status.

Orientation/Ventrillo Information

[CENTER]*Remember, you need to attend an orientation to complete your recruitment process
Orientation Dates
[SIZE=4][U]
Once they make the new schedule we will post the next Date

Private Orientations can be held on Xbox Live if you have trouble making the Sunday public Orientation. Please contact H2O Dink and H2O HugsNKisses if this is the case.

PMS Xbox Live orientations can only be attended by PMS Members!
H2O Xbox Live orientations can only be attended by H2O members!

Instructions on how to set Ventrillo up are as follows:
Orientation Information: Ventrilo

This is mandatory to finish your recruitment. Please download and set up vent prior to the meeting to familiarize yourself with it.

Orientation on Ventrilo (aka Vent)
  • Orientation on Ventrillo is always on the 2nd Sunday of every month
Ventrilo Information:
IP: pms.clanwarz.com
Port: 4000
Password: pmsh2oguest

Who needs to attend orientation?
  • NEW recruits need to attend orientation.

Notes:
  • You may attend an orientation held by another division for informational purposes, however your documented orientation attendance MUST be from either the Clan-Wide orientation held on Ventrillo the second Sunday of every month, or a private orientation held within your division by either the leader(s) or recruitment manager(s).
  • While it is recommended that you have a mic when you attend orientation on Ventrillo it is NOT REQUIRED.
  • There is a chat box function in Ventrillo that will allow recruits to communicate/ask questions on vent even if they do not have a mic.

Not Sure How To Set Up Vent?
Follow These Steps!

  • Step 2: When it is done downloading, you will need to set up a user name.
Click the arrow next to user name and click new and put in the name you would like to use..
NOTE: When you create your user name for Ventrilo, please use your FORUM NAME, which should also be the same name/gamertag/handle you are using to recruit into PMS or H2O.

Click the image to open in full size.
  • Step 3: Set up the server you are going to connect to.
Click the arrow next to server and hit New, and choose a name for the server.
Click the image to open in full size.

Then put in the following server information:
IP: texas3.clanwarz.com
Port: 4203
Password: pmsh2oguest

Click the image to open in full size.
  • Step 4: Make Sure Your Mic Works
Click "Setup" to check your mic settings. We suggest setting up a hot key, as seen below.
Click the image to open in full size.

To turn off the announcement of when people enter and leave the room, in "Setup", under "Events" ... and turn them off.

Click the image to open in full size.

You are now Ready to Connect to the Server!

Click "Connect"
  • Step 5: Entering a Comment
Once you are in the room, please hit the "Comment" button on the right side and put your FORUM NAME, the name of the DIVISION you are recruiting into and clan position, if appropriate (e.g. FORUM NAME, PMS NA COD 360 or FORUM NAME, PMS NA COD 360 - Recruitment Manager).
NOTE: PLEASE DO THIS! Prior to Orientation, the attending Clan Administrator will access your Forum Profile, and mark you for Orientation Attendance. If this is not done, you may not receive your Membership Rights promptly after finishing Recruitment.

If you do not have a mic, Ventilo does have a chat function which can be used, but I STRONGLY encourage you to have a mic as it will be very hard to monitor chat channels. We also HIGHLY recommend you download Ventrilo and test your mic BEFORE your meeting time as often times it needs to be set up and can take some time if you are not familiar with it. Kitteh PMS or Gypsyfly PMS will be in the room 30 minutes prior to meeting to help people with mic issues. If you have a mic and it is not working, please hit the "Chat" button and go into the chat room where they will be to help resolve issues.

NOTE: AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED ORIENTATION!
  • Remember to PM Gypsyfly PMS your info for your complementary Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA) membership. Just PM the following and put "ECA Info" in the title: First Name, Last Name: Email Address: Phone Number: Street Address: City, State, Zip Code: More info here: Your ECA Membership This offer is currently for all US and Canadian PMS and H2O members 18 and up. There is no expiration on this, so if you haven't joined yet you still can -Gypsyfly PMS

Changing your gamertag:
Do not make an H2O tag until you receive official confirmation of your successful completion of recruitment.
If you are going to change your Gamertag (800 Microsoft points) then remember to message the Leader of your Division, so they can request a name change on the forums so that it matches your gamertag.
Only a Division Leader can request that H2O be added to your forum name. It is not a requirement to change your Xbox Gamertag, it is more of a pride thing.

Please Remember: We ask that you look at the members list to make sure your name isn't like anyone else. This includes but not limited to PMS or anything close, that includes a combination of letters and numbers. Your Division Leader will be able to clarify if the requested H2O name is available.

Continued Membership within the Division:

Being a Member:
Being a member of H2O doesn't just mean you're a member of a clan. It means you're a member of our family and shows that you have passed recruitment. In other words, you know how to abide by rules. You are respectful. You are a gentleman. You are an H2O.
  • Being an Active Member:
An active member is a member that continually maintains his hourly requirement. But that does not mean that he cannot compete in events (including online tournaments like GameBattles (GB) or Clantacular). Active members may also form a team with casual members as well as PMS girls.
  • If you are not making the minimum of 4 hours a week you will be moved to Casual status and will not be part of the Division for which you recruited. To return to a Division you will need to make 2 weeks of a minimum of 4 Divisional hours to become an Active Member of the Division again.

Division Transfers: It is possible to transfer to another Division at any time after fully completing recruitment. This can only be done with the consent of your current Division Leader and the Leader of the Division of interest.

IMPORTANT NOTE: At no time are you allowed to compete on any teams other than an PMS|H2O team. Competing with other teams is in direct violation of the PMS|H2O Handbook and may result in immediate removal from the H2O Clan.

Members will add H2OHaloReachDiv to their friends list if they are active division members.

F.A.Q.
How many hours do I have?
-the "Recruits Hours" thread will be updated at the end of the month with recruits hours on them. If you wish to know at the exact moment of questioning then please ask your recruitment manager or your practice manager. They are the ones that monitor the hours.

Who do I talk to if I have a problem with someone in the division?
-Talk to a staff member asap. Having to hear of someone's issue from somebody else is a hassle. It's like playing telephone and getting down to the root of things is that much harder. We will not tolerate having to hear other people's issues from someone else.

If I am a recruit and I miss my practice hours for the week, do I have my recruitment extended?
-Yes. If a recruit fails to get their required hours of division practice for the week, then their recruitment will be extended another week. This is to make sure that everyone is meeting the requirements needed to become a member of the H2O Clan.

What if I miss practice for more than 2 weeks and I didn't post a L.O.A.?
Posting a leave of absence lets us know that you will be gone and when to expect you back. If you leave without posting a leave of absence your recruitment will be terminated.

What if I am a recruit and my recruitment was terminated?
You will have to wait 30 days before applying again.

How are the staff members chosen?
-They are chosen based on who we think is the most qualified for each position. It is not a popularity contest.

Thank you for reading this and please take all of this information to heart. Good luck with your recruitment!

If you're not sure about ANYTHING, please, ASK!

note: I recommend that you surf around this site and get used to navigating on it.

If you have any more questions, please message H2O Dink and H2O HugsNKisses(Recruitment Managers) or Retro H2O and FantomexX H2O (Division Leaders)
