No offense stylez, but i'm with palp on that bet, these girls have quite the bit of experience, i only played against two of their members back in the winter season and we were whooped.

The Lambda girls are very good and continue to improve as a team. I play a lot of matchmaking with them and they typically roll over their opponents.
Bring large hammers ![]() As for the differences between Halo 3 and Reach grifball. It can't be helped, honestly. We've done what we can with the gametypes. The physics just aren't the same. That being said, you CAN do a lot of the things from Halo 3, it's just not as easy. One of the biggest things that would help is a change in the melee system. The constant tying is silly. I'm hopeful 343 will address that in the title update. I certainly keep pestering them about it. |

I used to play with Moa and acouple of her teammates awhile back at her grifball practices. So I know for the most part how good they are. And I have to say, they are REALLY good when it comes to team-work and play styles. That being said....vegas odds are starting off with PMS 3/1 & H2O 12/1

Sadly, that's actually not the case. As much as I'd like to hope that it is, the playlist numbers for Reach grifball are nowhere near what they used to be for Halo 3 grifball.
At its peak in Reach, the grifball playlist had a couple days where the number of players was just over 16,000. That was when the playlist was brand new. That's pretty good for Reach, but it's average number of players is now closer to 2,500 or so. On a good day, depending on the challenges, it can top out at around 8,000. Back when the Halo 3 grifball playlist was at its peak and most popular, I recall seeing times where the number of players would reach nearly 100,000. After a couple years, it was still common though to see the numbers at around 25 or 30,000 and often more than that. Of course the difference in popularity and playlist population also has a lot to do with the fact that there just isn't anywhere near the same number of people playing Reach that there used be with Halo 3. I blame Bloom. |

thats true. Your looking at it from people playing it in MM but the Grifball leagues have expanded. More people know about the playlist and are willing to join amateur leagues and theres more and more grifball clans popping up as well. theres alot more grifball forgers going out trying to make more maps and they even expanded the game to Jetpackball, Zealotball, and vanilla grifball. The only way you can tell if something is getting big is by how many ppl hate it. Example: Justin Bieber

The leagues have actually gotten smaller as well. When Reach was first released and we did the first season of Reach grifball in GrifballHub's GGL, the numbers were pretty nice. We had well over 200 teams registered which was the most of either the GGL or AGLA in quite some time. We're wrapping up our third Reach season now and there were roughly 125 teams or so.
The numbers are even less for the AGLA. The summer season is about to kick off and I believe I counted a total of 84 teams. That's the lowest it has ever been that I can remember, not counting the very first winter league season more than 3 years ago. I'm not necessarily discouraged by the numbers though because Reach just didn't seem to appeal to Halo fans the way Halo 3 did, or the Halos before that for that matter. The good thing is that 343 Industries absolutely LOVES grifball. Really loves it. We have a couple folks from 343 that play in our Good Games League and they totally enjoy it. One was on my team this past season, so I've spent plenty of time telling her what needs to be fixed. I am hopeful that they are willing to do things to insure that the game plays better in Halo 4 than it currently does in Reach. I'm going to be sending off a list to them on behalf of the grifball community which includes things that would help grifball be what it once was. If they can do even half of those things, it should hopefully see a resurgence, if Halo 4 is a hit anyway and the Halo population returns to what it once was =) Quote:

i should have said from what ive seen so far :/
I didnt know the AGLA or the GGL was starting to decrease in numbers but from what ive seen since halo 3 the community has expanded and increased. I know a bunch of D league and theres actually a couple of Clan Battle style leagues that run Grifball Leagues and whatnot. Maybe its almost time for Grifball awareness month? |
