Land of The Rising Fund: SFX's 24 Hour Game-A-Thon For Japan Relief

At 2:46pm on March 11 (JST) Japan was hammered by a massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake. It caused blackouts, fire, tsunamis, a nuclear plant explosion, and shifted the entire country 13' east. There is a death toll expected to exceed 10000 people, and countless more lives destroyed. At SFX, our hearts go out to the families affected by the disaster, and we'd like to help.

Starting at 8 PM EST Saturday March 19th with The Show Radio's PAX Episode, and running all the way to 8 PM EST Sunday, Skeletor and Delusions will be broadcasting on Justin.tv for 24 hours, to raise money for Japan relief. The rest of the SFX staff will be jumping in and out the entire time as well. We're going to be playing a multitude of games from new releases, to old classics and everything in between, and playing/inviting anyone who wants in, and we have room for.

All throughout the entire day, we'll be giving out some cool prizes from a bunch of amazing sponsors. The only way to win is watch, donate, and promote the event. ZeroHourHero will be doing a 140 Character Diary for the entire 24 hours on twitter, so watch that for some entertainment as he sinks into madness.

During the event, you'll be able to donate money to the Japan Relief Fund through the Gamers Outreach Fund, who have been amazing in helping us set up the fundraiser. All proceeds raised this weekend will be donated to the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund.
