Re: Gamers: Now is the time to stand up and be counted!
She misunderstood what I said to her earlier.
Also, by having read the bill, understanding what it does, and considering it for a bit, I don't think it's a matter of not asking questions, or not taking action or as you said, let the government take care of every little problem, I just read what it had to say and found it to be perfectly reasonable. And if you were to think about it, this already takes place in movies, at record stores, so on and so forth. Whether it be a rated R movie, or a CD with Parental Advisory warnings on it, a minor cannot purchase this on his or her own. Should that child be in the company of an adult, then the game, CD, movie, so on and so forth can be purchased. This bill, as I see it, is simply an extension of what already exists.
Also, Ovary, I wasn't saying that you were going on a crusade, if that's how it read, then that's my fault, however it was not my intention. I was however saying, that you are making it seem that if this bill should be passed then the government will go on this crusade to do various things, which personally I don't see happening. The language of the bill simply does not give me that impression, there are a lot of things that aren't permitted sale to minors, and they are still legal.
