Repo! The Genetic Opera

[H2O Repo Man]

Has anyone else seen this incredible movie? I can't get the soundtrack out of my head, it has to be my favorite movie of all time (and that's saying a lot, I don't generally like movies).

For anyone who has seen it- NO SPOILERS! I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone else like it was for me :< Stupid stamps on DeviantArt "I Cried When X" was a major spoiler that made the ending less impacting.

So right, I'm not sure where I'm going with this, just wondering if anyone else is into Repo! like I am. PMS Hailz and I went to see a Repo! shadow cast at the Austin Alamo Drafthouse, and it was pretty much the best night of my life, I recommend everyone see one (after seeing the movie of course).

So...um...my favorite songs are probably...

- Things You See in a Graveyard (Rotti just sells this song, even if he's speaking).

- Legal Assassin (Wangsty, yeah, but god the ending is brilliant. Nathan's death metal growling during the end is just insane).

- Night Surgeon (Everything about this song, but especially Nathan's part just before the end)

- Chase the Morning (Sarah Brightman...god how can you be so perfect?)

- At the Opera Tonight (the best climactic build up ever, especially Nathan and Blind Mag's juxtaposing)

- I Didn't Know I'd Love You So Much (Tearjerking...just...good lord, I cried, I admit it)

I haven't seen it yet, but it's definitely on the list. I can't believe I didn't see that it was playing at the Alamo... Do you know if they are doing another showing?

At the Alamo Drafthouse? No, but they said there was going to be one in Dallas, then one in San Antonio. I don't remember if there was one in Houston or not.

The Music Box Theater shadowcast came and performed Repo! at Anime Central this year - it was awesome to see them again.

And if you can't tell by my sig that I'm a Repo! fan...I'll be highly amused. ^_~

Haha, I wondered when he'd make a thread about Repo! The Genetic Opera.

To be honest I wasn't totally sold when I first watched the movie on the computer. I mean I never thought it was bad, it just wasn't the best thing ever. I didn't get the appeal. It seemed too outrageous and while I liked the music I couldn't get into it.

Then I saw the Shadow Cast. Wow!

It's really too bad this movie got blasted by so many bad reviews due to the low budget. The concept is interesting and the music is good, and it's a lot of fun when you watch it with a crowd that thinks it's great too. But word to the wise: never see the shadow cast of a movie unless you've seen it before... cause there will definitely be spoilers. XD

PS - I really hope "H2O Repo Man" isn't taken, because I know when DeusExProcella is finished recruiting that is what he is going for. ;D

I was looking for it, and I didn't get any hits. So I'm pretty sure (unless someone's mean and beats him to it) he can become H2O Repo Man!
