Lolli: I called the number for the recruiter near me and it stayed busy. So I ended up finding the answers to most of my questions on the website. For Kimi, you have to be in Basic before your 28th birthday (she was wondering cus she's almost 27). And for meee, I can't join active duty because my husband is active duty air force and we have a daughter and according to them I'm a "single parent" in that sense, which I don't agree and I'm really upset I can't join. Not just the Air Force, but ANY active duty military branch. Only thing I can do is Reserves, and I'm not sure about that. Gotta do my research on that I guess.

I thought of joining the army for the past few years, but I dunno. There was a welcome home party for one the guys in my hometown that I went to school with. I should ask him some q's. My nephew joined several months ago.

Lolli: Hehe, yeaup. My brother was in a while back, and my "friends" here are all in the AF or the Army because, well, I live on an air force base that's being overrun by army, lol. n_n

Righty: Aw, I'm sorry, that sucks. *huggles* They have other really cool jobs, too. If you still wanted to join, you should check it out! I'm bummed it didn't work out for me too. I don't know anything about the Reserves or if that's even something I'd want to look into. Sigh.

And I'm sorry to hear that you can't follow through with your original plans zombie germz. But being in the reserves is very honorable and respectable. You are still doing your part for your country.

But, in my opinion, there is nothing more honorable than taking care of and being there for your children. So many kids are raised by half-fast, uncaring, unmotivated, unsupportive and sad to say.. horrible parents. So if you can look back and say that you've raised a wonderful child and done everything you can for him/her... than that is more honorable and more praise-worthy than anything else.
