Birthday is coming up but...

My family still wants to get me presents, but I can never think of anything I want, so I'm at a loss every year as to what to tell them. Anyone got any good suggestions?

You can always ask for money if you are at a complete loss, that always works.

Well, I don't need much money (funny anyone should say that, with my classes to pay for), but if all else fails, I guess I should go along that way. And your right, I just realized they did mix it up.

I would say money or some gift certificates to video game stores and/or book stores. 'cos I'm pretty sure there will be video games you will want to buy in the future.

Usually I just get an evening out at my restaurant of choice. ♥

Maybe something that's semi-necessary that you would like? Shoes or slippers, for example? If you're a college student/dorming it, maybe dorm-related stuff like a water purifier, or bulletin board, etc?

I got Haribo for my 19th I asked for money to put towards my professional camera for photography Was good coz everyone pitched in and i only paid £130 towards it (as i was saving towards it). Clothing spreee Or things you might need are a good thing! or even something that will make you smile (personalised teeshirt or anything like that!) x

A few things I usually request are;

1) Money
2) Send me and some friends somewhere (Bahamas or something of the sort)
3) Another car or modifications to my cars
4) If there is something big I usually want, I usually tag along a birthday or christmas present. Like if something is more money than what they had given me price range wise, I just ask them to tag it to my gift

Example

Parents: No, that is way too much. We said get something for x.
Me: Well, just get this and don't worry about a birthday present.

You'll figure something out. Worst come to worst you can ask for that new iPad (I recommend getting the 3G one).

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I think I have an idea of what I'll ask for. And yes, family is important of course, but it is their idea to get me a present in the first place too. :P
I won't break their bank accounts either, I promise.
