I wrote these at school, both about love. One's more positive, the other one not so much. I wrote the negative one while I was pretty ticked, so that's a reason why it's negative. I'll start with bad news first
![]() "Garden of Beauty" All what one treasures is sacred in its sentiments But what one values, another, such as I, thinks of as trash The world is a Garden Love being the flowers that beautify it But flowers only grow where the wind takes their seeds Selective in beauty, exclusive in loveliness, The ugly weeds, the foul-smelling earth These are not things one wants in a garden, So the flowers cover the ugly truth with heavenly perfect lies, Love covers the truth of its evil But it will reap the fruits of its labor Let the censorship of truth continue to reign But let the garden die when there is no more rain. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the more positve one, talking about the hope of love, sorry if I'm beating that into you all's heads "Shadow of a Chance" Today, a Sun Day Waking once again from where I slept Thanking God he did not take me while I dreamt Yet with this life. love lies exempt Walking into my life, I remember the faces I'll see Attaching to them names and histories Wondering still if they share a common mystery The mystery of love, as it is Standing as the most wanted and impossibly forgot Painfully abandoned and feverishly sought It pulls the strings of happiness while tying them into knots It is a shadow of a chance, That love will make its way to you And without shadows of doubt it will change you All one can hope for is to make it through And now I look up at the world on my knees Begging for once, "Let Love find me please!" |
