hey yall, i don't know about you but one of my favorite sports is archery. do any of you do archery, or am i the only one?

Theres not much to it. first you need a bow and arrow, then when loading hold the bow
side ways so the arrow won't fall off so easyaly, then aim and make sure that your body is sideways and your left arm holding the bow and pull back the arrow to about to your right cheek, then Aim and FIRE!!!!!!! thats all there is to it. Some good things to help you inprove are, loading the arrow on the bow, the faster the better, and shooting, remember the futher away the target is the higher you have to aim and shoot. if you need more tips just ask

I used to play archery.. just hired gear .. never owned anything.. i got OK at it too at one stage... i was really accurate with warped hire gear lol
i always needed an eyepatch and a leather finger tab.. as i remember 26p-30p recurve was what i used mostly but thats going back 2-6 years ago lol represented my school a few times and actually won all but 1 time. thats about 1 loss per 9 or 10 wins i cant remember.

but i have poor eyesight now and have to go get glasses soon (I'm slowly going blind hereditary)

if i started up again it would be awkward and expensive (well no diff much on cost lol)

make sure u hit the target and not the wall lol... i have put a arrow throw walls made of hard wood before cause someone made me laugh before i let go of the string lol and it wasn't anywhere near the target

i have never done outdoor ranges thou

Welll let me tell ya.... if you shoot out doors... don't hit the old lady drinking her tea...... and if you are out side you have to think about wind to.

yup, i hear ya. but ya the wind does have an impacted on the arrow, it can make the arrow go in another direction if your not careful, but ya i perfer indoor shooting aswell.

I used to do Archery in my high school gym class. That was always really fun! I just cant do it now, on account of me being in the city...

Yeah, my dad used to do it and he would always go with his friends. He gave my sister this leet bow it's cool. I've never done it myself though.

ya, i know what you mean, even in towns you are not allowed to do archery because "you may hit some one" as they tell me so. but ya archery is fun and a great work out for the back musilces and arms. but in the school that i went to they had the bows without the finger guard which wore out my fingers faster. i got my bow custemized with built in finger pertection, and they told me its garrentied to last. but now may archery range in my garage is going to be put down...... because im building a familyroom insted.

Oh cool customized, lol. My dad has all his guns customized to fit his hands and all, it's cool. Yeah, I didn't really get the old lady with tea part either...

ya ya, your all just doing that to make me get angery really, you mean you have never seen a movie where an old lady is drinking tea and her teal mug get shot? whatever.

Archery is fun. I did this sport in High School. I got pretty good with it. Out of the class of 30 only about 5 of us aimmed pretty well. Me and the other 4 got into it so much we challenge each other each class. One of us did a few tricks with it and later got the nickname, Gay Robin Hood. Sad thing is, his GIRL friend started that nickname.

I am thinking about Deer Archery hunting next year, but I really want to use my new toy I just bought last month (Bushmaster M4A3). To bad I can't use an assault rifle. Lucky deer.

hmm, at the moment at this home building centre they have this really sweet bow onsale for $59 dollors, its called the Banshe its half a compund bow and reaular bow, if ya look it up you can see how it looks like, i got to try it out and i must say its good, light weight and more pull back for more distence. and it came in my favorite color black my nick name was Archer. and for good reasons.... because i was the only one in my class that could get a bullz eye.
