A Photographic Study

[PMS Epidemic]

Hey crew, I'm doing a project for class that revolves entirely around the involvement of other people. Here's how it works...
You take a picture of yourself. By yourself. I find that we're only truly honest when we're alone with nobody to judge.
And while you're taking it, you have to be thinking of one of two things. Either:
1. Something you've recently lost, or you're recovering from. Or:
2. Something you've recently discovered, that you're rebuilding from.
Send to me with the Title (which sums up what you were thinking of at the time)

Besides those parameters, there are no rules. You can take the pictures however you like, film, digital, XBox Live Cam (which requires my rephotographing your original) and upon display, no names will be used. The end result will be put together in a book dealing in a study of how we deal with loss and discovery on an emotional level through our bodies. Literally everything about the image is up to you though besides those standards. What you're thinking about, what you're wearing, where you are, it's all in your hands. As long as you take the shot.

MUAHAHAHA!!!!!, this is were everything goes bad, because I love taking pictures, anybody thats on my friends list knows what Im talking about, like my Sandwich pictures w/ the Corona next to the plate, lol. Whens the dead line Epy? and does it have to be in color?, can we photoshop it?

I'm intrigued. My only question is where are these pictures going? I understand it's for a class, but shouldn't they be pictures you took then? Because we aren't exactly getting credit for our photo. (Sorry, I'm a photographer, so I'm wondering these things.) I just am wanting to know a bit more before I send you a picture of myself lol.

and they're going into a book as a sort of study of people and how they handle pain because I believe that they can only be honest with themselves. I was going to attempt to shoot these images but the honesty just wouldn't shine through with my being there. I've been a photographer for years, so trust me, I'm well aware of the "credit" issue and I'm not in any way taking credit for the images, but rather the compilation of the ideas and the final book product. I'm in art school here at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and such practices are acceptable. We're encouraged here to put the concept of "credit" to rest for awhile and be bold, which I am attempting to do. I am most appreciative of your interest though Contact me directly if you'd ever like to speak about the project, or photography as a whole.
