Hitman

Hitman is an upcoming movie based on the game series of the same name. An excellent series I might add.

Now, the trailer just came out for this movie, as seen here http://www.joblo.com/hitman-trailer-hits.

I'm worried about it now. Timothy Olyphant does not look the part of Agent 47. Just because you shave him bald and put him in a suit does not make 47. The guy is too baby faced. The trailer talks about him putting a stop to evil and clinging to a woman. 47 shows almost no emotion, reacting with disgust when a woman kisses him one of the games, and he's a contract killer, not some super good guy.

Why couldn't they have just gotten the man who does the voice of 47 to play him, they modeled the character after him for Pete's sake. As seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoTzKbQ1jVU.

Well, my hopes for this movie aren't high now. Explosions and women are not 47. Agent 47 is not James Bond.

His features are too soft, and he lacks the iconic creases that 47 (and Bateson) has on his forehead.

He's too young. But if you think about it, if they plan on continueing the movies like say, 007, his features could slowly become more distinct as he begins to murder people more and more, eh eh?

Personally, the movie seems to be rather good. I've read only say 70 pages of the script so far, and it's good. Really good.

True to the Hitman games, and storyline, as well.

I got chills when I saw the trailer on the big screen waiting to see live free or die hard. (Awesome movie btw) I'm happy to see this game come to the big screen but I agree, I am dissapointed with who they picked as 47.

The guy they picked seems delicate and breakable and not as masculine as 47 is depicted. In my eyes I'm looking for a man to play him that has an air of silent terror and dread that just by realising your in his presence **** hit the fan, the guy they picked has an air of warm sentimental feelings that belong in a starbucks.

Thats a perfect analogy! ^_^ I wholeheartedly agree to that sentiment.

They should have used the man who did all the hitman video games.. the man that did the voices for 47 looks exactly like him in real life.

That would be because 47 was actually modeled after him (as the OP says.)

ok...sounds a bit weird but i guess so. hmm ya know what i think they should have done with this idea, turn it into an anime, DMC is looking great.
so far some movies that origanated from video games blow, not all butsome, such as DOA, Blood Ryane, and a few that i forgot the names of.

That's a horrible idea. Hitman would not make a good anime.

Most anime don't even pass as decent.

Maybe cause of the Word Filter, Maybe something wrong.... But the actor they chose to play the part of Agent 47 looks nothing like him, If you ask me I think Agent 47 gained a few pounds.
Now The guys who Voiced Agent 47 in the Hitman Series would've fit the part perfect but then again he's probably unable to act or unwilling to do the part. Things like that mess movies up.
DOA.... Kevin Nash played "Bass" Which was a horrific comparison. The characters in the Movie did not look anything like their original videogame counterparts, personally I think the movie was as bad as the SF movie, it did not last long in theaters. Mortal Kimbat Flicks had a longer lifespan in the theaters than what DOA did. Exagerated fight scenes and all, Some bad acting affected the movie as well and Lame Jokes. Bloodrayne was another one so I can agree with all of that.
What threw me off here is the actor, But I seen this other trailer here: Hitman Movie It looks quite interesting.
