Amazing blog.
As a preschool teacher, I can say that some video games are a great help in reinforcing simple lessons like shapes, colors, simple math, etc. In my school we have games like Candyland (for the PC) and Reader Rabbit, that take what we have already taught the kids with flash cards and projects and put it into an environment were it doesn't seem like they are being drilled about it. I know that these educational games are much different from the ones that are the subject of JT's arguements but I always find it funny that no one acknowledges these games as being positive influences in the gaming industry.
