so i have recently been slacking in 1v1s, and then here's what happened
so i start off winning vs every gold player and some platinum players for about 10 games (won about 7 of the 10 and beat 4 platinum players) then this is my exact match history for 1v1s as far back as i can see. 1v1 Match history ( as far back as i can see): Me vs. Rank 8 Plat Zerg - Victory (Slightly favored) Me vs. Rank 7 Masters Zerg - Defeat (Favored) Me vs. Rank 23 Plat Zerg - Defeat (Slightly Favored) Me vs. Rank 25 Plat Protoss - Defeat (Slightly Favored) Me vs. Rank 10 Plat Protoss - Defeat (Slightly Favored) Me vs. Rank 1 Gold Terran - Defeat (Even) Me vs. rank 35 Plat Protoss - Defeat (Even) Me vs. Rank 11 Plat terran - Defeat (Even) Me vs. Rank 30 Plat Protoss - Defeat (Even) Me vs. Rank 6 Gold Protoss - Defeat (Even) Me vs. Rank 16 Gold Zerg - Victory (Even) Then Promotion to platinum...???...???...??? ![]() My head hurts, someone please explain how this happened! ![]() (not saying I'm not happy tho )

It is based more on mmr then actually league placement
|

They will promote you if you have a 50% win rate against the platinum league players. If you go on a win streak and then lose some it will still promote you.

Regardless, CONGRATS! I don't know much about SC2, but I hear it's a feat to get to the platinum level :]
