All-time favorite video game character?

Kinda surprised myself when I thought about this, but my all-time favorite video game character is Ezio Auditore de Firenze from Assassin's Creed. Introduced to Ezio in AC2 (the best AC so far IMO) as a baby and following his life through Brotherhood and Revelations, and finally seeing how his life ends was one of the most intriguing stories in video games for me. What is your favorite video game character?

As for mine, it's a tossup, like most of you have said. The first of mine is a split right down the middle, and both are characters that everyone knows, the second is a little bit of a lesser known character, and the other one after those two is even lesser known than that. (or at least I think it is...)


The first two are Gordon Freeman of the obvious Half-Life fame, and the second is Kain from the Legacy of Kain series. Both games are widely held in many fans eyes as great games in their genres. I love them both equally and have been searching for a way to get the first Blood Omen game to run on my PC with Windows 7 on it, to no avail...

The third character is Lucas Kane from the game Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy is what it was released in the US as...). The game is a little off the wall, but still amazing in my opinion. The game is made by the developers of Heavy Rain and the upcoming game, Beyond: Two Souls.

The final character is Eldred from the game Sacrifice. It's an old third person fantasy strategy game. It's available on GoG.com if anyone is interested in checking it out.
