for PC it was BF1942, i lock so much hours into BF games tis was crazy, but halo got me into console gaming lan partys every weekend awwwwh yah x3 nothing but a bunch of dudes and like 1 chick kicking each others asses

I played Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One & 3 online for playstation 2 (Big Red One is terrible for online play)
Runescape followed suit for me a couple of years later
Zynga games followed on facebook
The Sims games
then the xbox 360 games came into suit

BF1942 got me into pc gaming as well. My sister and I would play it for hours. Had BF Pirates mod and expansion packs. BF Vietnam was okay. Then I got a mac and turned to 360.

The one that got me into PC gaming was probably Duke Nukem 3D. Disliked Doom back then, but after D3D it shed a new light for me. That's when I went super crazy with Quake and UT from that point on. And Dune2 was the one game that got me really into RTS games back in the day; and prob one of the first RTS games before the genre got popular. Yes, I'm an older gamer, and proud of it!

For console... well, online hardly even happened until the Xbox 360 came out. So I guess it would have to be Street Fighter on XBLA.
