Arma 2 and dayz

Many of you may have heard of arma 2, the super duper, hardcore mil sim that is tonnes of fun. But recently, a new mod for the game has been taking the internet by storm.

It essentially converts the game into a zombie survival sandbox game. Where you have to scavenge, hunt and run to survive.

The world is 225 sq kms of forest, cities, towns, mountains and zombies! For full immersion, people tend to play through a sort of area chat system. Meaning you have to stick together.

Graphics are kinda dated, but its a solid mod and awesome experience.

Vice, I would totes love it if that happened! We could so dominate on the servers if there was enough of us. This game has so much potential. I'd be all up on the apps for it for sure.

May I suggest, instead of having a dayz exclusive div, making an arma 2 div?

Its just, dayz is a mod for a great game and it would be a huge shame to skip over said game.

Some of my best video game moments have been in arma. Nothing beats attacking a town with 40 other players. Or defending a hill with the same group against hordes of AI.

That's a very good point, Waffly. I would love to have an Arma division, mostly Arma 2 but 3 is just around the corner too.

You are right, I am saying it that whole world is converted in game world, actually in world there were all different natural properties, but human have being progress as world development, so up to now 1/4 of all over world is developed as much as possible.

How about we do a meet-greet and run sometime? Let's talk about getting together at some point and doing some survival runs on some servers and get use to each other and see where our tactics and skills lie, eh?

I'd love to get into a ARMA 2 or even a ARMA 3 group. I've had ARMA 2 since release and have the OA, PMC, and British expansions. I've had REAL difficulty finding servers that play the game to it's full potential....and not a server full of ppl who play it like COD or BF3....like jumping into a chopper on Domination, leaving everyone behind and crashing it 5 Kms away....not knowing that another helicopter will not spawn...and the crashed chopper had to recovered by a recovery vehicle and an engineer...and it takes 20 mins to fix it.......and he bailed out not knowing it was a 5km hike back to base.

I know Blackplague(BF3 PC recruit) and I were trying to play DAY Zfriday...and I had a REAL difficult time trying connect to servers because of the 1.7 patch....I'm gonna be on Tuesday night...I hope I can get on a server and survive more then 25mins

And anybody can add to Steam...I'm always looking for new ARMA 2 squadmates...and DAY-Z fellow survivors (H2O Lord Overkill)

its much more safer, I play alone and im hiding with a ghillie suit for a long time when people come walking by.
