Default Anyone in the Air Force?

Ive been looking into it and i am very intersted in possibly enlisting into the Air Force. But I have to say, I'm kinda of nervous to actually go through with it. Everyone I've talked to about it said I should do it.

So, I was wondering if there are some Airmen here that could maybe tell me their experience with the Air Force and what that thought about it and if they thought it was worth it.

Maybe your story just might be the one that help me gather the courage and enlist.

Right here brotha, I ship to BMT September 25th. It's a great branch to go into, I might be biased due to family in the AF but it has great benefits and also wonderful living standards.

Well my grandfather just retired at 74 and he was a civil engineer and also a CMSgt. He told me many stories of when he was in and also before he cross-trained into the Civil engineers. They treated him great and he had nothing bad to say about them. Like I said above the living standards are the best out of all the branches right beside the Navy. Also whatever they teach you can also be put to work outside of the branch if you decide to leave after your contract is over. Like I am doing Financial Management and Comptroller which is a banker really and also I do peoples payrolls. With what I learn I can go out and be an investor or a banker and still earn enough money. There are many different career fields that you can go into and all it really depends is your physical, mental state. I won't beat around the bush, it is the hardest branch to get into but if you can get into it, it is very rewarding. Not all of it is behind a desk like you might hear from some people, you do get to work with your hands a lot and there are tons of oppourtunities to get your hands on. I support your choice no matter what branch you get into or even if you decide not to.
