Wow... I guess it really isn't their fault that they don't know that the Titanic sinking was a real historical event... I just feel like that's one of those things that everyone *should* know. There are a lot of life lessons that can be learned from such a disaster.
As for the movie: I just saw Titanic in IMAX 3D a couple of nights ago... I haven't had that much fun at a movie since I saw Titanic as a kid! Seriously, the only way to see that movie is in theaters in my opinion. It's great on it's own, but it's such an experience to see it on the big screen with all the crazy loud sound effects. |

I'm shocked!
I wanna know where these people went to school so I can make sure I dont send my son there! On another note it's not their fault they didn't know about it. I'm sure there are some world events that I either dont remeber or never learned about. |

I just feel like at some during the 3 hours of that movie someone could have tapped them on the shoulder and said "B-T-dubbs, that was a real ship."

The stupidity of people amazes me sometimes. Probably in 30 years people wont know that 9/11 was real.

I sometimes see such abominations of stupidity on facebook. I just recently saw the pretty common math problem
40 + 40 x 0 + 1 (or similar ones) and I was losing faith in humanity... I think it's a problem with the US school system. So many deficiencies in some many areas! |

Like the people that didn't know that Sun is a star... or that the light travelling from distant galaxies can very well be billions of years old. We are observing the universe as it was, not so much as it is. Unfortunate the only method to see those distant places in the present is to create a 'wormhole' as currently we are bound by the speed of light, the universal speed limit.
