I'm curious...does anyone else go through phases where you can't stop watching particular shows (especially with access to Netflix?) If so, what are your top 5 favorite TV shows?

Mine would have to be...

Dexter
Skins (British, non-sucky version)
Nurse Jackie
The IT Crowd (seriously so funny - I love British humor)
Heroes

Other favorites include:

Grey's Anatomy
The L Word
Six Feet Under
Friday Night Lights
Sugar Rush

i wouldn't call it a phase but i cant fall asleep without american dad or family guy playing. Ive seen every family guy episode a countless amount of times.

other things i would say i phase in and out of being obsessed with are:
Fringe
House
Dexter
Two and a Half Men
The Big Bang Theory
Bill Nye
South Park

a serial killer who's learned to "control" his killings into killing other evil doers and not innocents. it's fantastic.

Dexter, or "America's Favorite Serial Killer" is about this guy who works in the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood splatter analyst in the lab. On the outside, he appears very normal family man - even boring, but he secretly has an entirely other side to him. He lives by a serial killing code where he only kills bad people (e.g. murderers, rapists, etc.) So yeah - it's a drama/dark comedy about this guy who leads double lives. I strongly recommend trying it if you like anything drama/Showtime/dark comedy. So many people I know love it.

Great description. Dexter is a damn good show! But to anyone who hasn't seen it and is going to check it out, it may be a slow start with the first episode/some of the first season. But once it picks up and you get to know the characters and the story, it will become addicting! The first season is my favorite, but seriously, none of the season have let me down yet.

Only one I really watch is Big Bang Theory, dont really watch anything else unless its a movie. lol I love Big Bang tho!

I watch A LOT of shows though. So that list can change every once in a while or just go on for...forever lol.
