If you haven't heard of him before, Professor Randy Pausch passed away today from cancer.
He inspired millions with his "last lecture" he presented at Carnagie Mellon University last September. If you have never seen this lecture I highly recommend you take the time to check it out.
Prior to becoming well known for his speech he was known for having developed the ALICE software project.

Today was Bill Gates' last day at work at Microsoft. If you didn't know, he is leaving his full time job to dedicate his time to his charitable foundation.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank Mr. Gates for bringing us the technology that brought so much to our lives, especially the pc and the Xbox, of course!
So a virtual toast to Mr. Gates for his years of forward thinking and for being an example of brilliance and philanthropy!
