Stopping Power/juggernaut hype. cpd4
so the infamous stopping power over juggernaut hype. which perk do you prefer?.. well i find myself using juggernaut on rushing classes and stopping power on sniping or long distance classes.
how is juggernaut looked upon in the call of duty community?.. the initial reaction to someone using "juggernaut" would most likely be "noob" or ... noob. although most of the people who play the game don't really take the time to look into why juggernaut can be a respected perk. i admit myself occasionally when killed by someone using the "juggernaut" perk i begin to spout off. (it's annoying!)
lets start by saying, the easiest way to counter an initial pick off would be to wear juggernaut (assuming that we are playing core). also there is simply always the "dont get hit method".
stopping power and juggernaut are supposed to be equal. so we ask ourselves, why do we always find juggernaut "kids" walking away with that last bit of health??.. well it's pretty simple i would say. bullet damage is reduced from a distance. while your juggernaut stays nice and ready. although from the juggernaut users stand point your bullet damage would also be reduced a bit, but the further away you are. the more difference the juggernaut would make on bullet damage. (assuming the two were using the same weapon)
so i guess all it comes down to is personal preference. although the one big scale tipper is being able to walk off sniper pick offs like you just finished a race from here to the river. so i think juggernaut should be looked at a bit differently although it never will be. remember folks technically they equalize one another until you throw in game schematics. . . . .
sooo for me its
mp5> jugg
m16 > stopping (if dead silenced used)
m16 > jugg (if extreme used)
sniper class> stopping
well im pretty bored . .. . going to pick up my new lamiglas on thursday evening in woodland. . . woo *******' hoo.

I hardly ever use Jugg, just cuz that's not my style. I play mostly DM + TDM so it's really not necessary as I'm concentrating more on just "not dying" instead. That and I'm always some sort of assault class, so i'm always using stopping power. Proper movement and positioning can be just as good as jugg.
To me it's more for tactical purposes, like scout in quake. You can run around and take a lil more damage while noting enemy positions and relaying that to your team. Also making ppl waste more ammo on you is good cuz even if you die your team can clean up as the enemy reloads.
What I really hate is Jugg plus last stand... omfg that is so cheezy. Like F! U! I just shot you dead you don't get to shoot back gawd! F***ing die already!!!
Jugg and last stand in hardcore, OMFG DIE NOOB! With your little skorpion BS DIEDIEDIEDIE.... srry lol. I try not to play too much 'core as it can spoil your aim, sorry 2 bullets from your little pop gun in the ankle will not kill me lol.
Solution to Jugg: aim for the head and shoot 'til they stop moving.Posted 09-23-2009 at 04:54 AM by ZenEye

I never use Juggernaught, got used to overlooking it as it is prohibited in practice.
I do sometimes get annoyed when people have Jugg on or last stand as I am not expecting it.
As for Martyrdom, I just run away from dead bodies anyway as I expect the perk to be equipped.
I have been known to use Martyrdom and Last Stand in the past but that is just for challenge purposes.Posted 09-23-2009 at 08:59 AM by Starlight PMS
