Back in Action!

Three months ago my gameplan was quit the job, stay home with the kids, and prepare for the worst: Less time to game, one of my few stress relievers.
With my main squeeze COD waning on my interest list, and nothing on the radar it seemed until November, I shrugged and accepted what I thought was to be the end of my gaming life.
You know how I know there is a God, because sometimes stuff just happens. Better or worse, it happens, and changes everything around. With hindsight it practically seems like a miracle.
I put in my notice at my job in May after my big Bond project was complete. I went on vacation to the beach, expecting to return and clear out my desk.
Then.. a few things happened.
New Boss figured out that since the State put us on a hiring freeze, he couldn't replace me for months, if at all.
My husband received his first notification for acceptance to flight school - in Alabama.
Somehow, even though the budget was shot, and "no money was anywhere", the CFO came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse. The entire month of June off paid, and an extra stipend for child care for the remainder of the summer. If I stayed.
So I stayed, and thankfully so. With the extra income I can stay here while my husband is in Alabama. Yes, we will miss him; but the extra cash flow is there for monthly trips to see him. And honestly, I think he will do better without the distraction of daily family life.
At Elficon, H2O Oh Malley, Elfi PMS, and H2O Xerxes were so animated and passionate about Left 4 Dead, I was convinced to give it a try.
Now at mid August, my gaming life has been revived by a kick ass game that I never would have expected to play. I want to Smoke from the rooftops, I want to fling my Hunter around from car to car to get the alarms to go off. I want to Barf BoomerCakes. I want to keep my back to my team, and my pistol on the zombies' brainholders.
Mega Thanks and BIG BOOMERCAKES to the Left4Dead division for being so welcoming and putting up with my constant melee when trying to "aim". From the first night when, yes, the "Tank is on the Chopper and it is ON FIRE", I have felt very much at home with you guys.
Now.. gotta practice pulling Louis off the ladder for the ultimate insta-kill Smoke!
WOOT WOOT AND WORD!
