360 controllers and mics

I've been having trouble with my mic (I have a 360) but I think the problem may be with the controllers.

The first time my mic "broke" it stopped working on one controller, but still worked on the other. Now it doesn't work on either. I went and bought a new cheap mic, that only works on one of the two controllers, but not the other.

I'm thinking the problem is specifically with the controllers. But the thing is, I haven't dropped, thrown around, or done anything to the controllers or the mic(s). One controller is the one that came with the 360, and the other I've had since Christmas.

Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. It's really hard to play in clanmatches without a mic XD

I had trouble with a mic but never switched to another controller. I might have to check that to see if my mic is really screwed. Crazy thing is I hardly play on my 360 or use the mic. First time I wanted to use it didn't work.

**We reconnected the controllers (resyncing or whatever. The thing you do when you connect a wireless controller to a different xbox) and the mic works (or rather I can be heard) now on both of them. I don't really understand it, but we know it was a problem with the controllers XD

I had problems, but I discovered that usually just unplugging the mike and replugging it until it works, doesn't take more then 3 tries... I especially have the problem when I play Original Xbox Games.

are you sure your batteries are full? When ever I start having problems with my controller it's usually time to change the batteries.

I tried that multiple times focus and it still didn't work. And Dex, both of mine are on the rechargable and I had them plugged in just in case that was the problem XD
