first topic in here.
but ok, guitar hero is the best interactive type game out there. it is SUPER addicting. and even with only like 50 songs. it never gets old. if you have a ps2, and not this game, you really need to get it, and then play it with a bunch of friends, super awesome.

I have heard about this game... I thought it would be fun.... I hear there is really great music on it but I don't know what the selections are...
I will get it iif I see it for a reasonable price...:D

70 bucks.
it has Ozzy, The Ramones, a bunch of customs, and theres a bunch of songs that you'll recognize, but i dont know the bands that made them.

Ozzy is all I need to hear... I have to check this game out:)...
I love playing Bark at the Moon. The game has some pretty kick [FunnyBunny][FunnyBunny][FunnyBunny] songs, Ace of Spades is another of my favorites. Stellar and Cochise are pretty fun too.

I'm sorry.. but I personally refuse to play that game. You use like what, 5 frets? They're like.. plastic buttons. Can you even play melodies? Or is the whole thing just power chords? If so, that sounds kind of odd. Maybe it would be fun- I have no clue. I haven't tried it. But it just seems slightly silly.
Could someone describe to me how it's played?

yah tis tru that guitar hero is indeed 'the balls' although i havent played it for awhile it is uber addictive when you start to play, and after completing it on hard its just ridiculous how hard the nxt lvl is which i think is expert. Just dont play it if you have anger issues! :p

I play the actual instrument, so that's kind of kiddy to me, no offense. I mean, I can play the songs myself just by finding tablature online, and probably just as well as someone playing Guitar Hero, lol.

Guitar Hero is in noway like playing a real guitar and is only meant to be for fun. Its an awesome game and even funner on multiplayer when u get to play with someone. I can't go to high up on the difficulty level I have trouble moving my left hand around quick enough on the fret haha. Oh well Its still very fun to play.
BTW did anyone put those stickers that came with it on thier guitar? I didnt even bother.

yeah... I play guitar too Demon. That's why I won't play guitar hero. It's like.. it seems that it's for people who can't play actual guitar.. :( Sorry if that offends anyone. That's just how it sounds. I fully admit I've never tried it.

ya I also thought the game was going to be lame..but its actually a lot of fun. I like it better than DDR.

no i didnt make that assumption. sorry if i came off that way, im not offended, i just think you should play it, before having that kind of opinion. im deffinatly sure you'll most likely like it.

That's how I feel about people who say sushi is gross before trying it. But.. sushi is like 7 bucks. I'm not going to go out and spend $70 when there's a chance I'm going to not like it, you know? But I might. I don't know. lol.

Let me put it this way, playing guitar is a seperate hobby I do aside from videogames, it's something you work for. When you can play something that remotely sounds listenable from an instrument, it's something else. I'm learning how to play Stairway to Heaven from Led Zeppelin right now, and it takes time, it's difficult, but it's rewarding to hear a song I love being played by my own two hands. Playing Guitar Hero isn't the same kind of rush. Guitar Hero is a game, meant to pick and play and have a good time, which is cool. But it's like comparing deep sea diving to swimming at the public pool, it's not the same. Guitar Hero is probably very enjoyable, but there is nothing to me more important then feeling the sound vibrate throught the guitar as you strum the strings to a tune you like.
Sorry for the lengthy post, and I'm not arguing anything with this post, just explaining why I feel how I do about Guitar Hero.

I love deep sea diving and Sushi.... They're two of my fav things in life...
Anyway I use to play guitar a bit... Not alot but a bit and I was ok at it... I started playin DDR a while back and It seemed so stupid at first... Then when I acutually got together with some friends and played it I loved it ALOT!...
Then I saw Guitar Hero... I haven't played it yet but I think it will be alot of fun... I think it maybe a little simple since I already know how to play guitar a bit... But thats also what I thought about DDR untill I played it and saw how hard it was... And even if it is simple, since you already know how to play guitar, you can get really good at it fast and own all your friends.. haha:D

oooh man i sooo love sushi!!! hey azrael i know that the best buy around here always has guitar hero hooked up for anyone to try..not sure if u have a best buy near u but u should definately stop by and see it is pretty fun. I think you'd probably enjoy it :)

I just got guitar hero (though I played a lot of it at CPL, so I wasn't a noob). I never thought I would have had a 5-button toy guitar in my house, but I do..
And its fun :x.

Yea at first the concept itself struck me as 'simple' but I have a friend who was always throwing these GH Parties at his house. They would stay up til like 3 in the morning playing and finally i just got sick of listening to them and went to one. IT OWNS. I was having the time of my life with it , went out and bought it the next day. My fav. soing is either Stellar (incubus) or Iron Man (Black Sabbath) they are sooo much fun to play!
