Member(s) of the Month?

heres an idea (along with EVERY single other forum..) to have Member of the Month here.
NO POPULARITY contest! just have the leaders select one male and one female..or just one person who has either contributed towards the forum, or is just spreading a positive attitude.
not a popularity contest though, like some.....

just a thought ^.^

yea...some ideas from HG..but i miss it dearly. and heck. itd be cool to have some nifty fun vBulletin matches. they get competitive sometimes ^.^

HaloGrid? its down now.....cant even view it anymore..imSuck (Brian) put the forums on hold with a goodbye (for now) note. now its not even viewable :( its just some random stupid site you sometimes come upon...like the "Homes for sale" or w/e.

well..the vBulletin system is like an online currency..and you can integrate it into the forums.
then..everyone gets vCash (a certain amount..its fake..you cant "buy" money..but you can bet and win..or be awarded some on like....say G.o.t.M.)
everyone (normally) has 500-1000 on startup.
then you could have special vBulletin matches where people can bet money. in RL situations (i.e. superbowl) or online (i.e. say a clan match, or a competitive 1v1 or 4v4 in Halo, GoW, etc) and then the winners will win what they bet, and if they lose, then they lose the "money" they bet. its very fun for some forum interactiveness.
i think i forgot something, im not sure, ill let you know if idid ^.^
but its very fun and very popular nowadays.

Im sorry we will not be implementing any sort of points system for vBulitin for the following reasons:
1) It encourages spamming
2) Its just one more mod to have to worry about when making board changes
3) It has a rather large administration overhead for a rather pointless feature.
4) It will just be more things to clutter the forums with.

So thus no cash system. Sorry. If you want to compete use the arcade. Your welcome to start tournaments or compete for the high score in a game.

Spotlight gamers will be implemented in the new site in development as i previously mentioned so we will not be worrying about any sort of reputation/rating of members in the forums as of right now. Just be patient and wait for the new site to be done :)
