OK so i unplugged all of stuff because I had to put in surround sound in my room. I pluged everything back in and....i have this weird red spot in the bottom corner of my TV (the right one to be exact). So I turned my TV on and off and it was still there. Then I thought, well my 360 is on the right so it might be that. So I unplugged my 360 and restarted it...still there. So i moved my 360 far away from my TV and its gone. Like WTF? This is not the first time it has happened but i would like to know why it does that and it only does it once in awhile.

Very Strange... Call Xbox. 18004MYXBOX

Has your Xbox been exposed to any kind of radiation?

Or maybe its just so awesome that your TV can't take it and blushes.

I had to put my xbox on the ground off to the side an extra 6 inches lol.

My tv is a cheepo sylvania. This red spot only accured maybe 3 or 4 times ever so i dunno. Watch, it will be fine tomorrow.

if its a tube tv..maybe some of the lights (i think) might be bad. depends on how old it is, and what kind it is.

Cheap TVs go bad. It really depends on the type of TVs but corners tend to go "bad." If its not that old it may still be under warrenty. Oh and your consoles cannot emit enough EMI to disrupt a TV. Don't worry about your devices.

It's the TV. Pixels are dieing. I'm not sure if it's repairable or not, but you get the same problems with projectors. The red zone'll get bigger and bigger over time, but your TV isn't going to die or anything...the distortion'll just grow till everything is "red" probably. You can try to find a way to get it repaired~ Prolly best to replace it eventaully though.

If it only happens when his xbox is near there's a chance the distortion is caused by electromagnetic interference.

My cousin had the same thing happen, but on his brand new 40 inch LCD HDTV. He put an external harddrive next to the screen. He had the harddrive close for too long and it caused permanent damage. He just brought the TV back and said it was busted and got a new one. He works at Future Shop, which is also where he bought the TV, so it was no big deal.

Haha yeah. I dont think anyone but Dex understand what I'm saying. When my 360 is right next to it, it goes red at the corner and then when i move the 360 away from it, the red spot goes away. I figure it's the TV too but i was jw if anyone knew why it only does it sometimes rather than all the time. Also i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it because today its still not fixed. I'm going to take a pic to show you guys in my next post.

HDD's have super strong magnets in them so that's probably what did it. A few times back in Jr High we took magnets and put them up to our old computer monitors (at school) and the screen would go all crazy kind of like what you're saying. So just keep your 360 and magnets away from your TV and it should be fine.

when i put my speakers next to my tv the corner of it turns a weird shade of pink. then if you move them it goes away. so maybe its the same deal with your 360.

I dunno if you were talking to me but HDD = harddrive.

If your 360 is off and you have it close to your TV does it still have that mark?

Nope its only when the my 360 is on. Its probably some sort of magnet thing but why would it only work every now and then?
