The darkness surrounds me
I am enveloped in the all-encompassing void
Beyond where I rest
There is nothing
In front of my eyes
I see nothing
All of my senses are worthless
And I am alone

But inside my mind is an unbridled vortex
Filled with the sights and sounds of life

There where I hide I can not hide
And there where wonder I create
Inside I can find a way to cope
With this lonely world
And find meaning
In the meaningless

I traverse time within myself
And find a life to live
