they have to charge him with something. A slap on the wrist and a "You shouldn't even joke like that" isn't going to help anything. At least this way the kid learns his lesson and any other kids will think twice about even joking like that.

There's enough lead flying with the war overseas going on. We don't need it in classrooms too. Bullies aren't an excuse either. Some kid's picking on you? Learn Karate and kick the kid's @ss! It's a heck of a lot more satisfying than bringing a gun to school and being in jail until you turn 25 and being looked at as the psychopath that shot his school up for the rest of his life.

I agree with everything you said except for the learning of Karate. That is pretty much useless these days. I would send my child to Muay Thai classes. I study both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. We have a couple of people in my clases that were trained in Karate and they get pwned on a nightly basis!!

Kids today are morons...what ever happened to having a good old fashioned fist fight at recess or after school in the park??

They won't be sitting in jail until they are 25, they'll probably kill themselves after shooting the pupils.

Muay Thai and Brazilian Jui Jitsu is a mouthful but sounds like a more positive way of supporting yourself in a fight.
i know for a fact that kids up at my school think that its ok to have fist fights every other week or so, either because of some guy takin anothers girl or else crossing boundries amoung different races...to be honest i'm tired of it, but i cant say much because last year i was apart of acouple of those but i got out of them this year and cleaned up.

Karate doesn't always work, my friend is in karate and he never beats me, I have never had any fighting training at all, its just being able to move fast and not getting hit, also it takes a while to get good at self defense, any more I get seriour fighting from my brother in law hes 6'2 and only a couple of inches taller then me and our fights get out of hand, he says I hit hard enough to break someones rib, but I don't think thats a good thing

That Penny Arcade comic is amazing. I was thinking the same thing.. "Why would they take the 360?". If anything they should have left it there so he could talk more **** online and get caught again.

Thats rediculous almost, they took the 360? What losers. Yea, theres allways been plenty of fights where I lived in 310. Here, I graduated from a secondary (drop out/last chance) high school. Woot woot

*sigh* I guess that honestly some of the kids don't see the difference between a gun in a movie or game and a gun in real life (RL as we like to call it!) ;)

Kids should be raised to know the RIGHT and WRONG thing to do, but when their parents don't even know, then how the heck are they supposed to?? For the most part I think people are really trying to do the best they can, but there will always be a bad apple somewhere.

I dunno.. the comic was good; the article was just so frustrating to read.

Its not really that they can know in the first place, its just that they need some common sense not to do that

Yeah, I was wondering when something like this would happen over xbox. I don't think that the kid should go to jail but he should have to do things like community service or something along those lines. And definitely have his 360 taken away (by the parents, not the government, lol).
