Guild Wars Guild taken, Who made the old one?

So I tried to make a guild for those of us that have decided to start playing guild wars together and the name "Pandoras Mighty Soldiers" is taken. Now I'm asking who, if anyone, started a guild that we don't know about? We would like to start up a group of people and possibly a division at some point (permitting approval). The problem is the guild name at this point so who started a guild? Please let me/us know so that we may either end it to start a new one, or enter and make it active again. Thank you. :)

Yeah.. theres been a PMS guild for a long time now. There isn't an official division built around it, because as far as I knew, there weren't enough hardcore players to start anything serious.. but the guild has been around (with approval) for a long time.

Hey rain sorry I didnt get right back to you but i dont come to the forums very often. About the Guild...At one time we had an official Guild which I believe was headed by Tigrish. There realy was not enough girls holding interest in the game and as the the number of girls dwindled I found myself playing that game alone. With the exeption of Cherish who later expressed interest in getting the guild going again. Anyway point being I have no idea if she ever got it together but as far as I know it was last left in her hands. I was playing Nightfall for a bit but have been to busy latly with my GOW division. So either Cherish or Tigrish should know where the guild stands at this point. Your best bet is getting ahold of them. =)

The Guild Pandoras Mighty Soldiers is not in our hands as for as I know. There were several Guilds not too long after Guild Wars Prophecies was launched. The one I received an invite to was the Pms Waterboy Alliance, started by Dex Luther (I have a feeling I may have spelled that wrong >_>). As the name suggests, it's basically a fun, PvE guild for casual players from both PMS and H2o. Mostly the Ghost Recon 2 players, joined by some people from the forums. And to be truthful, it's about as inactive as it gets. I'll try to get a hold of Tiger to see what's up with the guild she was in...

You mean the PMS guild might not be under PMS leadership? That sounds kinda wrong to me, we should have our Clan's name be our guild name, it's only right. I can't imagine what it will take to get that name back but I really don't think that we should go by any other name. Hmm, I wonder if Psychotic Men Slayers would be permissible in these circumstances....

Lets not do the Psycotic Man Slayers thing.. Theres a reason that name was thrown away, and it was probably discussed in a big meeting with a lot of people. Having 2 people wanting to use it for an inactive division probably isn't going to go over well, so I'd just look in to some other name. "Pandora's Box" or something, for example.

I know that this may seem obvious to me but not others, but if the PMS acronym is unable to be used why not just use the full name Pandora's Mighty Soldiers, Officially proclaim it to the guild, and that the other one is not officially part of the pms clan? Just a thought.

yeeeaaaaa...... you kind of have to understand the game to understand this Pencilposer. There is the guild name which you are known for in battles and such. Then there is the acronym which is on everyone's name in town. The acronym we don't have a problem with, PMS can be used more than once. The Guild name is the issue. If the old name is such a problem (damn shame, I liked that name) then I'll just do Pandoras Mighty Soldierss. Simple enough, although I don't see what the fuss is about. I would still rather have the original guild if we can manage to locate it.

It's kind of the principle of the thing. We're in the clan, and we would like the clan's name. Something inaccurate just won't do, that feels kinda secondary lacks the meaning behind having the actual clan name. (btw, "Men Slayers" was exactly why I liked the old name but that was too offensive = P excuse my inner dyke)

Cherish already said in this thread that she doesn't know what exactly has happened to the Guild. I have contacted the people she suggested and I'm waiting for a response.
