I Just got my wisdom teeth out

I woke up at 5:45 to go to the orthodontist and get my wisdom teeth out. Once I got there and was in the chair one of the assistants saw my tippmann shirt I was wearing and we started talking about paintball abit. It was hard for her to grasp why a bouncer would hurt more than one that would break. LOL

Once the doctor came in I asked the doctor if he was feeling tired or refreshed. Which made him and his assistants laugh. Soon they gave me a few shots to knock me out. They put this cool little oxygen thing over my face and hooked me up to heart rate monitors and that stuff. When I woke up i can't really remember going out to the car or the ride home. But I do remember it was hard for me to stay awake.

Once I got home I had to have my dad help me get the the recliner because my balance was so off. I tried to change the channels but I would l stop for a little bit and completely forget what I was doing because of the drugs, but I managed to make my way to the history channel. Then I put in "The Hills Have Eyes" for a bit, but once I was able to fall asleep I did and I let my parents choose what to watch. Right now I have gause in my mouth and my whole face is numb. I can't even feel my chin or my nose. My dog is so worried about me. She keeps coming over here and lays her head on my lap.

I feel a little pain in the back of my mouth but nothing major. I have vikadin on hand if I need it. If I do get druged up for the pain I'm thinking of putting in some SOCOM: Combined Assault and see how well I can run people over. LOL

I've been there. Had mine out a long time ago. I don't really remember having to take anything for pain. Well I probably should have but I hate the feeling that you get when you take pain killers.

i've have 4 teeth removed before and hated it. I think i'll have to have my wisdom teeth taken out at some point, not looking fwd to it now!

omg...i didn't get the gas....i just got a shot that makes me forget (something that seriously frightens me)......lmao

i guess i acted a little weird: when the people were prepping me and putting gauze in my mouth, i sat there for a while and when the dentist came in and started pulling out my teeth i kept focusing on the gauze and shouting, "I FEEL LIKE A CHIPMUNK!" over and over! LMAO.....i didn't remember ANY of this.

then when my sister got her's out, she did the same thing and went to the same place....apparently she tried to ask the dentist out for a milkshake. hahahah, and she KEPT trying when she was leaving the building w/mom holding her arm.


hahaha....that medication seriously messed w/our minds....but yeah, i know what u mean about not knowing what ur doing and the numbed face....fun stuff

it's more when u don't change the gauze enough....the wet gauze gets really heavy and kinda sticks to the holes where ur teeth were....ouch! and then yeah....certain foods and drinks hurt REALLY bad....i don't recommend hot tea. lmao

i unfortunatly was knocked out, then woke up during the middle of it. i remember my mouth being wide open, lots of stuff inside it, and the dental assistant saying 'oop, she's wakin up!'... woke up later with gauze in my mouth, started crying (cuz that's how i do comin out of anesthesia), and managed to walk to my mom's car. um... next few hours were sorta blurry, but later that evening i couldn't even open my mouth cuz they had to dislocate (then relocate) my jaw to get them all out. :) i went back to volleyball a week later and got hit in the right side of my face by a spike and it completely knocked all the stitches from my gums out. fun right? f*$&#ing sucked...

I'm feeling better now. I ate some shrimp and pork chops for dinner so it's feeling better. But my face managed to stay numb until 11 pm. It's the first time I've ever really had anything done like this in my mouth because I didn't need braces and I've never had a cavity.

from what my dentist keep tellin me I will never have to have mine taken out....but he is afraid to put his hands in my mouth now...and keeps freaking out when he see's my canines
