BF1942 got me into pc gaming as well. My sister and I would play it for hours. Had BF Pirates mod and expansion packs. BF Vietnam was okay. Then I got a mac and turned to 360.

The one that got me into PC gaming was probably Duke Nukem 3D. Disliked Doom back then, but after D3D it shed a new light for me. That's when I went super crazy with Quake and UT from that point on. And Dune2 was the one game that got me really into RTS games back in the day; and prob one of the first RTS games before the genre got popular. Yes, I'm an older gamer, and proud of it!

For console... well, online hardly even happened until the Xbox 360 came out. So I guess it would have to be Street Fighter on XBLA.

On PC my first online game was Starcraft. Used to play the custom games for hours! On consoles it was Socom 2 back on PS2. That will forever be my favorite online game ever. Never has a game made me play from morning to night, then wake up and immediately get back on till the following day again. Great community on there as well.

I played it for 3 years in college before I realized that ladder wasn't all haxx0rs like the non-ladder online mode, so it took me until 2003 to start playing it online. Before that we'd LAN over the school network.

Once I discovered the online aspect, GG. It's all I did until WoW came out and my Diablo buddies dragged me to WoW.

Well, I watched the South Park episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft," while I was out of town like 3 or 4 years ago, and I went and bought the battlechest, the Warcraft one(thank god it came with a WoW trial). I played on my grandfathers computer and man was it slow, couldn't even go into a major city without lagging. I played many other console games before, but never played the online portion.

First online game? Warcraft II...vanilla. That's right...Windows 3.1 and before battle.net...back when everyone's internet was dial-up and you had to have the in game options set for one person call and one person receive and you had to put in actual phone numbers.

I got to say it was early 2002 and I believe Diablo 2(PC) was my first online gaming experience. Started playing when I meet my Now Husband (H2O Pan) we would sit in a two sitter camping chair and Play for hours taking turns of course. Now after 11 years today9.24.01, we have our own PC's and we currently play Diablo 3 also BlackOps on PS3 together. But we've played our fair share of other PC, PS3, and Xbox360 games :)
