Hey guys! I recently go some points and I've decided to invest in a xbox live arcade game and I need some help choosing. I want something fun that I can enjoy playing for over 2hrs with achievements to get that aren't to hard and aren't to easy! Any thoughts?

Oh man Doritos Crash Course can BITE ME so hard. There's one course on there that just frustrates me to no end.
BlueJay, you should check out Dead Block if you like rock 'n' roll and zombies, it's a pretty hilarious tower defense/zombie basher type dealio that is fun and challenging at the same time. Harm's Way is also fun and entertaining, but probably more so if you have friends to play it with (but as it's free, getting your friends to get it is pretty easy.) My favorite arcade game is, of course, Doom (and Doom II.) Achievements are pretty easy but not a gimme, and it's (obvs) super fun to play solo, or you can co-op.

I THINK there's a demo for Dead Block, but don't quote me on it. No demo for Harm's Way, because it's free. Also I don't know about either of the Dooms, but come on, do you really need demos for those? It's DOOM. It's been around for like, 20 years or so. It is a magical part of my youth and don't you dare say anything bad about it so help me. :D

Shadow Complex - A lot like Super Metroid in all the right ways. Ridiculously cheesy story, but the game is so much fun!
Bastion - Just epic, tied with S.C. for my fav XBLA game
Pac Man CE DX - don't knock it until you try it. A rare update to a classic that actually makes it better in a lot of ways!
'Splosion Man - One of the best platformers, lots of fun, quirky, awesome co-op mode
Limbo - Cool platformer, creepy art style. Not terribly long, but a great experience.
Monkey Island SE - If you have never played a point and click adventure, you should give this a try. It's a little weird to get used to, but it is a hilarious game.
If you like fighting games, I have a whole separate list for them :P

That would make me so happy! I still have 2 achievements left to get on the first one. I might be due up for another playthru soon. Might go for the one to beat it getting less than 10% of the items. I think I have enough infinite stuff unlocked to do it. It is so great once you open that golden weapon room!

If your looking to get outside the box try these;
Bastion - http://supergiantgames.com/?page_id=242
Fez - http://polytroncorporation.com/61-2
Limbo - http://limbogame.org/
Braid - http://braid-game.com/
Also I just recently played the first installment of The Walking Dead game which was pretty awesome but its a point and click type (Space Quest, Kings Quest) game and not really action packed or anything. Only 400 points though so it is kind of a win lol. If your into dungeon crawler type games check these out as well;
Torchlight - http://www.torchlightgame.com/
Crimson Alliance - http://www.crimsonalliance.com/
And I strongly agree with going back and playing DOOM and the sequel, Even throw in a little Wolfenstein to make it a complete party. Classics never get old lol

1. Minecraft: Xbox version will be dropping in 7 more days. Im not sure if it will have achievements or if they will be hard/easy. Im also not sure how much MSP it will cost xD but it looks like a very fun game to play with someone or by yourself.
2. World Gone Sour is a pretty fun, funny, entertaining game. I personally dont have the game but ive played the demo. This game had me laughing, and i like it :) It cost 400 MSP.
I dont buy arcade games or games in general, but these two games i will need to buy:mvreallyhappy:

Dead money?
I quite liked the idea of the storyline, but I didnt think it was done very well. If you went in with low skill in unarmed/melee skill (Like i did) it was just a constant struggle and those stupid collars meaning I couldnt explore like I usually do.
I got the ultimate edition with al the DLC recently cos it came down in price so i thought it was worth getting just for the DLC (since I already had the game) and the lonesome road is the only one I have yet to do
The GRA stuff is fantastic too

Yeah, I hated that they took all your weapons and stuff from you.
I still need to finish the last 2 GRA Challenge cheevos and then I'll have 100% on it. I think it was stupid they put that out last. It would have nice to be able to have worked on those challenges while I was actually playing the friggin game!!

The named silenced sniper rifle (the name should invoke memories to any try F:NV fan) does work if you have the right perks for a ranged character (i.e. increased critical hit chance and percentage).

One thing I recommend doing the quests that let you bring your stuff with you (Lonesome Road, Old World Blues, and Honests Hearts) is to bring the bear minimum. You usually can't travel back forth between the Mojave Wasteland and the DLC area, so don't get stuck overcumbered as you still want to caring more stuff, strong back perk is a must.
H2O Gilly
05-05-2012, 09:33 AM
yeah, you'll want to bring as much back from the DLC as possible so take the least possible into it, I think with one of the DLCs theres another version of strong back which increases carry weight again and i'd also recommend taking that
