To Japan

Well i thought i would post this a few days before i leave. but im going to japan this saturday at 3:30 am. I'm flying from Seattle to San Francisco. then from their to Osaka in japan. i will be visiting Nara, Tokyo, and i cant remember the others :eek: . but i will be seeing soooo much stuff including the big buddha, Mt. Fuji and i get to ride a bullet train!

the first week we stay in hotels and are on a tour. but for the second week, we get to stay with actual japanese families! i am rooming with one of my friends, and i already emailed and talked to them a lil bit. omg im sooo excited :D wish me fun lol

i will be takin TONS of pictures, so when i come home expect a LOT. lol, i will miss you guys, dont talk smack about me when im gone! >:^\

Awesome! Hope you enjoy yourself once you survive the long flight. Japan is another one of those places i wish to visit and/or live for a year. Enjoy the culture shock.

yeah the plane ride is 10 hours :( and at 3:30 in the morning im gonna want to sleep, but my teacher recommends we sleep from Seattle to SF. and stay awake from SF to Osaka. to lessen the jet lag. but i dont know if im gonna be able to do that.

It's like a noodle pancake with pork, egg, and veggies. You can add any other meat you like to it.

Oyakudonburi is chicken, eggs, and veggies over rice. Oyaku meaning the old and the young (the chicken and the egg) I believe...or something to that effect. Donburi is a tag meaning that it's a rice bowl dish. You can have many styles of donburi that are quite tasty.
