It dropped about 8-10 feet onto hard wood floors (damn CAT!). Surprisingly enough.. it still works! Thank you Nintendo for making a reliable product!
After the stories of the wiimote + TV = broken TV + working wiimote, it doesn't surprise me too much, but it is indeed nice to have a durable product :)

Wow, thats amazing! What the hell was it sitting on, for the cat to knock it down 5-10 feet?

Nintendo's awesome at making durable products. They actually destroyed a gamecube, a xbox and a ps2 on G4TV. The Gamecube survived the longest.

I remember that, twas an episode of XPlay i think. Nintendo probably has all the little tormented children who abuse their consoles in frustration in mind when creating their amazingly durable hunks of plastic.

I don't want to sound agressive here but the thing is all these problems seem to only be coming from the USA...I don't think I have read anyone having issues in Europe or even Japan.
What are you people doing in order to break the strap?? I tried tugging on it and there is no way you can break it, someone even showed a picture of some weights hanging off of it and it stayed strong.
Also I don't think I am gonna ask how you managed to drop it...Did the strap break? :p :D
