View Full Version : PGR3 Online Tourney - I hope i made it!
For those of you who have PGR3, you my be familiar with the online tournaments. Basically there's a qualification lap you run as many times as you want, and if you have one of the top 64 times when the qualification ends you participate in the tourney. The first one I tried entering put me at 3,900th seed, but I was a bit of a tyro back then.
Anyway, so there's a tourney I've been trying to get into and just today well...a picture s worth a thousand words:

I encourage you to go ahead and try to enter the tourney just to see if you can get anywhere near the time, its pretty tough.
Anywho, the qualification ends on the 26th, which means i could potentially be bumped out if 17 people get faster times than me, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen here with the holiday season ;)

Wow Rip. That's awesome. Congrats. Better check back regularly like it suggests so that you can keep a spot in the top 64.

Bla i've dropped a few spots, still technically in the top 64, but it would also not surprise me too much if i end up being bumped out of the top 64 by the 26th :-/ I keep cranking out laps in the 44.7-45.3 sec range, but can't seem to get below my current time.....arg, oh well we'll see what happens.
I like the game venom, but its got a pretty high learning curve. It makes it really easy to beat your friends who haven't put a lot of time in the game, but really really rough when you run up against people who play the game a lot.
I'm sure you will stay in Rip. 5 people have to get times in order for you to get knocked out now, so if you get knocked out...Get back in!!! hehe.

Lol. It is also really bad to pick up the game after not playing it for months. I remember playing with you and Jeff a month or two ago and it was horrible. Since I'm lucky to play it more than once a month nowadays, It'd be interesting to see who is worse between Vinx and I. :)

:-/ i've officially been bumped out of the top 64 sadly. I don't think i can make it back in, i tried again this evening and while I cranked out 5 laps in a row under 45 sec, i couldn't manage to get it under my 44:33 :-( Oh well
I'm going to go back to beating double B's times till another tourney rolls along I suppose, twas fun while it lasted
