I didn't know if anyone else has read this book? I am a little over 300 pages into it and it just now starting to get good. It was a lot different than what I thought it would be. I am hoping to see the movie this weekend so I can compare it to the book.
I have yet to read the book, but I have seen the movie. I thought it was very original and realistic and a great film overall, a bit long though xD However, if the book is as good as the movie (which books are mostly better) then I am mos def gonna pick up a copy.
Tldr
Movie was awesome, book must be even more epic.

I went and saw the movie before I finished the book. There is a lot of back story with the characters that they didn't show. It was still a pretty good film and I am trying to finish reading the book.

The whole series is great, once I started reading them I couldn't stop. The other two books are even crazier than the first. I think they are all better than the movies personally because you do get a lot more background information about the characters and he goes into a lot more detail about all of the characters that you don't see at all in the movies.

Great series and the final book was one of the most satisfying conclusions to a series i've ever read.

The American version of the movie is not as good as the Swedish version. Oh, you really have to watch all three! They are over 2 hours long.

That's good to hear. I got the book for Christmas, but I haven't been able to get more than 100 pages in. It's incredibly hard to pick it up cause I'm not that invested in it yet. Perhaps I'll keep on trucking through it.
