From the handbook:
With approval of Membership, a "PMS Member"|"H2O Member" may:
Use the PMS|H2O suffix in their gamertag.
Have access to PMS|H2O General Discussion as well as to Girl Talk|Guy Talk.
Use of the community Ventrilo and any PMS|H2O Clan public game servers.
Will have a "PMS Member" or "H2O Member" badge applied to their account.
This happens after you have completed your recruitment. Your division leader will submit a request for you to gain access to two more "Members Only" sections of the forums and have the appropriate PMS|H2O badge applied to your account (makes your name blue for H2O or red for PMS).
After becoming a member, you can apply for other positions which will place another badge on your account and might change the color of your name (ex. H2O Brawley is a guy but he holds a editorial position which is grouped as part of the operations team, therefore he gets a pink name).

Pink is a manly color. Only true men can admit that don't mind a pink name.

I can think of a few that actually prefer it to the blue one (specifically, Shoagie comes to mind), though it is entertaining.

It's good to read if you haven't already and, if you're recruiting, it will eventually be read to you during orientation. If you have already read it then I find that Ctrl-F is incredibly helpful to finding the information that you need fast (cause it is a bit lengthy).

That specific shade of pink didn't exist until about a month ago, we used to have a pale pink, but the brighter, more vibrant shades are new :)

The brighter pink makes it extra manly

well there is always the 'opt out' for guys not to call it pink, but rather, 'fuchsia' or 'coral'...

I ne'er understood why one color has all these names. why not keep it simple... pink.

Every color except pure white and pure black have many different shades and hues that when seen on paper, or as pixels can look the same. but seeing them for real with your own....one or two eyes, will show you a difference ^^
They must have figured different shades and hues would mean other things here ; )
