I have had the GC version preordered since preorders first came out and I'm not sure if i should pay my $45($5 preorder) and get the GC version or buy the wii and get it for that. Basically i would be getting the wii pretty much just for zelda.(Although i only bought a 360 for Halo 3 and I'm here playing GoW and lovin it) I am just wondering if there is any difference between the 2 versions besides the controlling.
Hoping someone can answer this.

Link is left handed in the gamecube version and right handed in the wii version. Instead of just swapping the hands they swapped the whole game world. The wii version of zelda has very similar controls to ocarina of time except for how you swing your sword, and i wouldn't be surprised if the gamecube version also has pretty much identical controls.

Twilight Princess is an amazing game. I love it.Though I am only 7 and a half hours into it, just beating the first dungeon, it is very very fun. I want to get a Wii for myself very soon. But yeah, you'll like it.

I've never had the opportunity to play on the Wii, and yes, there are some aspects of the game that would be better played on the Wii IMO (such as using the boomerang). But still very much enjoying this game......played 9 hours straight the first day I bought it. And from my understanding, there are no huge differences other than what was mentioned in the above posts.
If you can get your hands on Wii, then go nuts. Get that version. But the GC version is definetly a great alternative.

World wise, the game is reversed, yes.
I LOVED the Wii version though, because it is very interactive. You learn special techniques through the game to allow you "Finishing blows" to undead, shield bashes, etc.~ and in the Wii game, you activate those through various motions with your controller and nunchuck. Trying the GC game afterwards was terribly boring, and i couldn't stick with it >_<;
So the Wii is very rewarding IMO gameplay wise! Story wise however, you wont miss anything by sticking to the GC and not putting down the extra $200 for the Wii.

Ah, Twilight Princess is a amazing game any way you cut it. The Wii controls are defiantly more fun, and i recommend getting the Wii for a party machine if you have the extra money. Pick up Smooth Moves!
