Recruitment Applications Thread (http://www.pmsclan.com/forum/project.php?projectid=35)

Remember to check your application often for a reply. Why? Because if you don't and you miss the reply and never practice with us then it's your loss.

Gamertag Information:

You MUST have your own tag to be recruited.
Make sure you have your own gamertag and a headset. You cannot use the gamertag of your relative, best friend, etc. You must have your OWN personal tag and a headset for your entrance interview on XBL.
Do not make or change your GT to include "PMS" until you have gone through recruitment and have become a full member. Your leaders will let you know when this happens.

Guidelines for Recruits:

It is PMS' intention to have fun in a competitive environment where sportsWomanship is paramount. A few things you should know before applying for membership or entering a PMS practice:

NO CHEATING, MODDING, LAG SWITCHING, BRIDGING, GLITCHING, or anything else that would give you or your teammates an unfair advantage in a match.

Always say "good game" at the end of a match no matter how much trash-talking has been going on during the game. Mute the bad kids mid-game if you have to - don't trash talk back. You can submit player feedback or file complaints at the end of the match.

Encourage the other players on your team - do not disparage, taunt or disrespect - encourage a weaker player or call out to your teammates if you need assistance!

NEVER EVER, EVER say the "R-word" (r4p3), or create a gamertag that includes this word. You will be automatically removed from PMS. Period.

Appear ONLINE at practice times so we can INVITE you! If you're offline, how will we know you're there?? If you don't get an invite, ask for one!!

We CANNOT recruit you if you are a member of another competitive clan. You may not join our practices if you are a member of another all-girls clan. Sorry. However, you can be a member of community groups like PopChiX or GamerChiX.

Kindly disclose in your application thread if you have EVER been a member of PMS along with your previous gamertag, division and approximate dates of membership.

PMS requires RESPECT, DECORUM & SPORTS(WO)MANSHIP at ALL times, especially at practice! Disrespect of any kind towards anyone will not be tolerated. This includes racial slurs/negative comments, etc.

PMS Gears of War Practice Rules & Etiquette:

Please check our schedule for practice times and hosts:

Our Weeks for Practice run Monday thru Sunday!

Invites will be sent out at least 5 minutes before practice begins. You have 10 minutes after the start of the hour to enter the room in order to receive credit for the first half hour.

If you receive a practice invite and do not want to attend, then simply deny the invite. The invite will magically disappear when the room closes so need to worry about it taking up space in your XBOX Inbox.

After accepting your practice invite, please make sure you set yourself to offline so that we can focus on practice. This is also done to help avoid non-PMS members from joining a practice.

Each practice is 2 hours long. Credit is given in ½ hour increments. Credit will only be given for the first and last 30 minutes of the hour. (i.e. 7:00 - 7:30pm or 7:30 - 8:00pm, not 7:45pm - 8:15pm.) At the half way point (1 hour in) the captain will give anyone who needs to leave a chance to do so. After the first hour there will be a 10 min. break and the practice captain will send out invites again, giving the girls who could only make it to the second hour a chance to get into practice.

The Captain running the practice is in charge. Please ALWAYS show her respect. This means pay attention to her when she is explaining something.

Please do not send out invites. If someone messages you for an invite then always tell the Practice Captain and she can invite them or ask you to.

Please DO NOT suggest maps or game types. The Practice Captain will choose these. If she asks you what you would like to play then you can make suggestions.

Please do not get rowdy in practice. Yes, we want to have fun but we must also maintain some control as well. If you or others are being rowdy and loud then you can't hear your teammates calling out or the Captain explaining something.

Cursing in practice is okay as long as it is in moderation. Excessive cursing will not be tolerated. Use your best judgment and keep in mind that there are other people around that you may offend, we are all different.

Please DO NOT respond to the jerks we meet in Ranked rooms. You can leave feedback on them after the game.

NO TAUNTING. We should never taunt our clan sisters. In other words there should never be any: "I owned you", "pwnd", "get stuck", "what the..." or anything like that when playing with or against our clan sisters during practice. We are here to support one another! DO NOT USE THE "R" WORD!!! (R4P3) Use of the "R" word is grounds for dismissal from the clan.

If you are in a team game please remember that every member of your team contributes to the score. There should NEVER be any "you stole my kill". Every kill is a team kill and is contributed to the overall score. We would all love to have a high score every time, but we should be happy if we have helped our team.

When going into Ranked matches, whether you are in practice or not please remember that you are not just representing yourself, or just the Gears division, but you are representing the PMS Clan as a whole. Remember we are ladies and to act that way. I mean we may be tomboys, ride Harleys, and like to spit in the wind but we can show the jerks out there that we can win or lose with dignity.

ALWAYS say good game at the end whether you win or lose. This shows we are good sportswomen.

There is to be NO private chatting/party chats or sending excessive amounts of messages during practice. We need to communicate with each other and there is no way to do that unless we can all hear each other! The first time it happens the captain will send you a message telling you to please leave your chat or to please not send anymore messages during practice. If it happens a second time, you will get a verbal warning. If it happens again, you will get a written warning and then the final time will be a suspension from practices.

ANY recruit found to NOT be participating for more than a round or two, can be removed from practice and no credit will be given. We will of course, make exceptions for a legitimate reason to not be playing for a minute. (i.e. Kids, bathroom, pets, etc.) We just ask that you let the captain know what's going on.) The Practice Captain will first ask the recruit if they are still there, then send an XBL message that they will be removed. If there is still no response, the Practice Captain can remove the recruit. A message will be sent to the Practice Manager regarding the incident.

If anyone is standing in spawn for a few moments, please do NOT team kill them. The ONLY exception to this rule is if the Captain or Staff Member directs you to kill them. If someone is standing in spawn for more than one map, please direct it to the Captain's attention.

We have a "No Drama Posts on the Forums" policy. Any posts that are put on the forums designed to start drama will immediately be closed & banked. Ladies will receive a verbal warning the first time, the second time will result in a written warning, the third offense will result in a DA. If drama posts are continued to be posted following a DA ladies will be suspended and possible removal from the recruitment occur.

You must maintain a minimum of 4 practice hours per week to be considered in good standing. If you are going to be gone or can't make your practice hours that week, please let the Recruitment Managers know.

If you do not maintain your hours for two consecutive weeks without notifying us that you are on leave, your recruitment can be terminated. We understand that sometimes life just “happens” just try and let us know!

We try to keep the Attendance up to date on a daily basis. Sometimes it falls a day or so behind so please be patient and we will update it as soon as possible.

Ladies, I know that some of these rules might seem a little extreme to some of you, but don’t let them intimidate you! We just want practices to be a fun, positive, and encouraging place to be!

If you girls have any questions, comments, or concerns please let PMS Smittens and PMS TempleGuard know!
Thanks! <3

Orientation Information:

If you are nearing successful completion of your recruitment period, it is necessary that you attend ORIENTATION to become a full PMS member.

Orientation is a time for you to learn about PMS and H2O clan.
It is also a pre-requisite for membership. (No orientation = no membership rights)

It's a not all that scary and serious - there are some games to be played after all! It's your chance to meet and greet some of our clan leaders. *You can ask questions, too!* Be sure to check out the following thread and its links:

Orientation: Please contact your Recruitment Managers for the information to log in to Ventrilo.
<Downolad Ventrillo and Playlinc>
http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

Also, please let your Recruitment Managers, PMS Smittens & TempleGuard, know that you plan on attending!

***How to Access Ventrilo & Orientation can be found on the second post of this Guidebook***

Once You Are a Member:

Once you have finished your hours for Recruitment & attended Orientation, the Recruitment Managers will submit for your Forum & Division Rights along with your newly chosen "PMS" Tag name.

PMS Gamertag Name Information:

DO NOT Change your tag until it has been approved by the Leaders.
If you need help picking out a gamertag name, please refer to this thread to see what names are NOT available:"Choosing a PMS tag: Read Here First" (http://www.pmsclan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74079)
You will then be added to the PMS Gears Roster: Members List (http://www.pmsclan.com/roster.php?task=member&did=66)
You will then be added to the PMS Gears tag:PMS GoW

You will still be required to attend the 4 hours a week to be an Active Member of the Gears Division, and encouraged to participate with the PMS|H2O Family.

You are also REQUIRED to attend Divisional Meetings held on Ventrilo or XBL at the instruction of the Leader. Date and Time information will be posted in the Division section prior to the meeting.

Membership is NOT based on skill alone, attitude is everything!

If you're not sure about ANYTHING, please, ASK!
We want to answer your questions and we look forward to gaming with you!!

Orientation on VENTRILO (aka VENT)
Orientation on Ventrilo is always on the 2nd Sunday of every month. If you are unable to attend an orientation on VENT, please let a Recruitment Manager know as we also offer Private Orientation on Xbox Live (XBL).

Please read the Orientation Thread above to get the information you'll need to log in to Ventrilo.

Ventrilo Information:

Port: 4000

Orientation on Xbox Live (aka XBL)
If you are unable to attend orientation on Ventrilo, you may ask to schedule an orientation with the Recruitment Manager(s) or the Leader(s).

Who Needs to Attend Orientation?
NEW recruits need to attend orientation.
Silent recruits and former PMS members that are doing full recruitment after leaving the clan do not have to attend orientation again.

Notes:
You may attend an orientation held by another division for informational purposes, however your documented orientation attendance MUST be from either the Clan-Wide orientation held on Ventrilo the second Sunday of every month, or a private orientation held within your division by either the leader(s) or recruitment manager(s).

While it is recommended that you have a mic when you attend orientation on Ventrilo it is NOT REQUIRED.
There is a chat box function in Ventrilo that will allow recruits to communicate/ask questions on vent even if they do not have a mic.

If you have any questions please contact the Recruitment Managers.

If this is not done, you may not receive your Membership Rights promptly after finishing Recruitment. If you do not have a mic, Ventrilo does have a chat function which can be used, but I STRONGLY encourage you to have a mic as it will be very hard to monitor chat channels. We also HIGHLY recommend you download Ventrilo and test your mic BEFORE your meeting time as often times it needs to be set up and can take some time if you are not familiar with it. Kitteh PMS or another [Executive] or [General] will be in the room 30 minutes prior to meeting to help people with mic issues. PMS Gears Recruitment Handbook:

Casual Members & Division Transfer: Information
http://www.pmsclan.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=3103&pictureid=26696

ALL transferring girls need approval from their most recent division leader.

(We don't want to recruit from other divisions without giving due respect to the leader of your division. Also, if there are any issues to report, these should be discussed with the leader. Your present leader has the right to deny your transfer request on this basis.)

Once Division Leader approval is obtained, it should be communicated directly to the receiving division's leader. Then, one of the following applies:

If she is an active member in good standing in another PMS division or if she is returning from Casual status, she must make at least 4 hours of divisional practice for 2 weeks. As long as everything went well and she received at least 4 hours of practice for the 2 weeks, she is then considered a member in our division. She also must read the rules and guidelines. Although we know all PMS divisions basically follow the same rules, there might be slight changes. So please make sure to familiarize yourself with OUR rules.

If she is returning after leaving PMS, she MUST go through the entire recruitment process. Including posting in the recruits section, acknowledging the guidelines & meeting 4 hours for 4 weeks before we can consider her a member. Approval from the division leaders MUST be obtained before the re-recruitment process is started, in case there are reasons why the girl left that need to be addressed before hand.

Thank you for your interest in the PMS NA Gears of War Division!
