Welcome to OryaN's UNO Tournament! Since this wonderful community loves UNO - why not a friendly tournament?

GENERAL RULES:

This will be a Team Tournament with 8 teams over XBox LIVE. Each team will have 2 players and an unique team name.(Please POST here about your team and BOTH gamertags being used during the tournament) The team who wins 2 out of 3 rounds will proceed higher in the bracket until the champions are named. Teams will be randomly generated for seed, and will be put in the brackets by myself. Once the bracket is posted - both teams have to setup a time between the next 10 days to play their games (The Sooner the Better). However, If the games are not played within the allocated time, the team who didn't show up will be disqualified. In order to claim victory/defeat/ over your opposing team BOTH teams must private message me (OryaN) with the following information to eliminate unvalidation.

Talking is allowed during gameplay, however if private chat is used - an automatic disqualification will be awarded.

Since this will be the first UNO tournament it will be a friendly one. Meaning, there will be no prizes other then gratification and public praise. If this tournament goes well, then prizes may be involved for future tournaments (ex. Giftcards to Amazon). So lets make this a grand one!

Indeed - I'm wondering now if "special lingo" would be alright. If the other team heard that you needed a "dolphin" several times and know that dolphin=blue it would be understandable to allow.

I guess we have all our registrations complete, We will wait till monday to OFFICIALLY start the tourney, the bracket will be posted later today and all teams will be in charge of setting up the match before the official deadline (July 8th 2006). Chemical Pink, I'm sorry if the post offended you and it was in no way meant to. I would still like your presence in the tournament and hopefully we can still work something out. The reason why I did post that numerous times was becuase your posts in this thread did conflict with the first post - as many questions or statements could be answered by just reading the first post in its full aspect.

As for Wertz, I'm truly sorry you have lost your partner and the only thing I can do is to allow Poisonous Pirates to have the bye in the bracket moving them up to the semi-finals. If Chemical Pink would like to come back or if you can find a partner however - please feel free to PM me and your team can still be in the tournament.

This tournament was meant for fun and building community spirit, not for hate and disrespect. Hopefully we can just have a clean tournament starting now.

To everyone else, I hope matches are going to schedule and I hope that everyone else is having a splendid time like Kelpie, Shoagie, Herb, and I had.
