If you can not control yourself and keep your grip on the wiimote, then you deserve to break your stuff.

It's probably just a case of people being morons (as they often are) and swinging it like mad. I'm sure that somewhere on the box or the instruction manuals it states that flailing your arms around like in a Jim Carey movie isn't necessary.
But I expect law suits, because when ever something is someone's fault the natural thing to do it blame someone else. "It's the 'American' way" as my friend (who lives in the states) often says.

There's a reason why the controllers have an arm strap, that you can even tighten more around your wrist, you know. I'm thinking these people are just idiots, I always use the arm strap but I've still never had it even fall or fly out of my hand, and I'm always playing Wii Tennis and stuff. o_O

heehee
Well the arm strap is really flimsy HOWEVER, we tried some things just to test how the sensor registered movements. A flick of the wrist will generate the same amount of speed for the wii remote as a "OMG LAWL I CAN WAVE MY ARM AROUND" swing.

lol, speaking of sensors has anyone had a problem with shaky detection when your wii cursor reaches the upper-left, left and bottom left sides of the screen? For some reason I've noticed mine loves to dance a bit back and forth when I approach these extreme sides.

Yea its wierd. Only the left side does that, the right side doesnt seem to do it but towards the left it gets crazy. Makes it hard to play some games like Trauma Center when you have to pick up stuff offered on the side and your pointer goes nuts on you.

ahhh, another case of people reallyyy over doing it. I cant pull off the strap from mine and either can any of my guy friends. so they must have really been overdoing it:rolleyes:
same thing, its like when people complained about the 360 scratching disc, only to find out it was people turning the 360 on its side or vertical when the disc is running...duh!!!! this is just the Wii version of it lol

Call Nintendo customer support. Sounds like something defective. They should send you a new one or something.

LoL, how about keeping a grip on your controller and not depending on the strap, it's there as a just in case thing.
And I've seen people swing the controller around with the strap, come on! Jeeze. The first thing I did was buy a skin or glove for the controller to protect it and keep it from slipping, they work pretty well.

Do you have a christmas tree over on that side? Candles? Any form of blinking /strobe light? Any and all of the above can possibly cause interference with the Wii-mote's functionality.
