I remember looking at magazines like Seventeen when I was younger, and thinking to myself, "wow some girls are just so perfect...". Little did I know at the time that they are airbrushed and digitally altered pictures. :(

There was a version for the men too. It was just as bad, but the person that put it on youtube took it down. :(
Vinx sent me that. yeah that is like dumb. I look at those magazines for the clothes, i think people are beautiful in their own ways and should'nt look the same.

I knew they had makeup and stuff but man I didn't know that their photoshoped and stuff. Im gonna send that to some of my friends.
Yeah, it's crazy because it makes the person look totally different. It's interesting.

I started to wonder about it when films like Toy Story came out. If they could do such good graphics (for the time) with animation... then surely it could be used to manipulate real images. I've had that confirmed several times since.
I've always been suspicious of those things though, and it's just my attitude on beauty in general. It's not your looks, but what's inside that count. Who cares if they're the most beautiful person on the outside, as long as they're a good person inside?
I feel kinda bad for those that do get into these mags. The only thing I can see those mags accomplish is lowering someone's self esteem since no one can look like those models.

People say that all the time. It's the inside that counts, but it's not entirely true. The outside DOES count whether you want it to or not (it's a subconscious thing).
Humans are drawn towards beauty. It's a survival thing that's embedded in us. We're the most intelligent/evolved animals on this blue planet we call home, but we're animals none the less. We're still guided by basic animal instincts, and probably always will.

hahah u know wut it sad, is that im a pro graphic desighner and santa monica has me do that stuff for them, times magazine is the hardest cuz dark skinned is very hard to get every single detail in there, but yeah...it is sad...that all those girls dont look like they do in rael life, those girls with natural beuti are the ones i work on with my comp but their the easiest to work cuz they are beutifull to begin with hehehehe
