Helloooooo! It said in the rules I should probably start with an introduction post, so here I go!
My name is Emily and I'm 21, and live in Columbus, Ohio. I've been a 'gamer chick' for soooo long, I remember arguing with my dad over being able to play on the SNES and Sega Genesis when I was a kid, but once I got my own computer I branched off from console games and got obsessed with PC games :p .
I'd have to say I started it all from MUD's (text games, if someone doesnt know) then started going on to visual games, and one of the major ones was Unreal Tournament, I loved that game, a while after playing that my friend was like "Hey, you should check out Counter-Strike (it was during 1.6 I believe)" So, I did, and loved it, after a while of playing that I had met some friends through it and started talking to one of the male ones alot. We were pretty much good friends, talking about game stuff and real life stuff at the same time for about a year and we decided to meet once since we lived close and set up to meet at the GameWorks in Columbus, and yes I made sure that it was a place with alot of people around of course. After that we started meeting more often and hanging out alot and then became girlfriend/boyfriend. That was about 4 years ago, and now we've been living in our apartment together for 2-3 years. Right now we're basically engaged, and I can't wait for, if we have any, our kids to ask how we met.. "Counter Strike".
Now, I mostly play Counter-Strike: Source, and WoW. And he even introduced me to playing D&D which we now play with some of our friends. I also still play console games, we have a PS2 and an Xbox, we're currently working on FFXII and we just got the Xbox, the only game we have is DOA4 but I like it alot and have been playing it on Xbox Live, on his gamertag though since I can't figure out how to make my own, and I dont want to have to pay for another one when we both live at the same place, and play on the same TV/Xbox. (Note: Anyone know how to do that?)
ANYWAYS, other than all the game stuff, I do other things. I like to read books and watch movies, and sometimes go to bars/clubs. I also knit (I know, OMG OLD LADY!! :P) and draw alot. I'm planning on (hopefully soon) getting into Columbus College of Art & Design to major in Illustration.
Anddddd.. wow this is probably really long now isnt it? :eek: Oh well, I don't really know what else to say! I guess thats it, atleast for now.
