Inside my mirrored eyes
(I see myself)

Lost inside myself,
Alone in sorrows dank.
I move beyond my cursed fate,
These obstacles to flank.

Into the dawn I walk,
Never reaching quite the light,
Moving faster but still slower,
With these burdens "Truth" and "Right."

I find myself now lacking,
Inside my mirrored eyes.
In staring through myself,
My hopes become my lies.

Will I ever reach the day,
As I strive for wayward goals?
Theyve eluded me before,
Through the trials, through the tolls.

But moving on I must,
As my time goes "by and by."
Until the day will come,
When I meet it "eye to eye."

Till sorrow subsides

Wallowing in loneliness
alone and ashamed
I find my way blindly
emotions untamed

a question unanswered
no thoughts can remain
while wandering aimlessly
out in the rain

beyond my own sorrows
another abides
trepidation surrounding
till sorrow subsides
