Hey found this thread on Bungie.net: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=9311325&postRepeater1-p=4

I guess someone found a registration site for the beta, but it's a little spares. It looks legit, but I"m not sure, and Bungie isn't confirming anything, which is why I'm not posting the link to the site. If you want to find it just look through the thread. Maybe one of you guys can figure out if it's legit or not.

I think it will be open during the commercial, like someone said earlier or it may be opened up at a time inolving 7 since you know how Bungie likes that number so much.

Good luck to all ^_^

Anyone know what time the commerical will air?

Like I said, if you don't go through halo3.com and your going through another link, just be careful. Not saying it's not the real thing, just saying it may not count once the site is officially up.

I wouldnt trust that link.

The guy who posted it on the forum joined there just today. So I think it is bogus and possibly dangerous.

Just my two cents ^_^

Well the site is definitely owned by Microsoft, in fact it has the same registration information through a whois lookup as Microsoft.com does. But having said that, I'd encourage you all to wait until after they actually launch the site. I'm guessing that it will go live as soon as the commercial airs on TV, so get your clicking ready!

When I went to www.halo3.com, I saw a quick series of steps flash on screen, before the Halo 3 symbol appeared and the "Come back 12.4.06"or whatever it says. It flashed too quickly for me to read anything though. And I couldn't get it to show again.

Edit: lol nevermind. I'm a nub. Its the steps to installing Flash Player, if you don't have it already.

hahaha punch me.

I put in all the information and then it goes to a white page with very little on it.

people who registered early like me there is great news,

There's been a lot of rampant speculation going on today regarding the Halo 3 Beta and the sign-up page for it. Going through the now live Halo3.com is the only way in which you are guaranteed to have actually registered. Do not trust direct links to the sign-up form, only access it through Halo3.com.

If you've already registered via the direct link that some of our more rabid fans found earlier today, you may well have a perfectly valid registration, but from here on out you should only access the sign-up form through Halo3.com.

This is phase one. There will be more ways to enter the beta program, so don't panic. We will try to ensure that everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so. The beta will be a world-wide affair, and every region that is elligible to participate, will. Much of the information on Halo3.com applies to the US only - so if you live in a different region, keep an eye on your local Xbo x site for details.

Too many people are registering at the same time you are.

Thought I'd bump this, I entered a Halo 3 beta contest at a rather large Norwegian gaming site, and it seems I won and get to enter the Halo 3 beta, woop woop. Seeing how three of my friends also won access, this could be pretty fun. I guess we'll have to see around January/February/whenever.
